I recently re-installed Wildlands on my steam account. Every time I launch the game I can get to the main menu but as soon as I hit the start new campaign/continue campaign button at the top the loading screen appears before crashing out to desktop with no warning messages. This also occurs when I hit to run benchmark test in the settings, loading screen then crash.
At one stage when launching the game it froze on the epileptic warning message, I ctrl, alt, del to bring up task manager and after abit of time I received an error message:
game security violation detected (#00000001)
As it is now the game is just completely unplayable, not sure if that warning message has anything to do with the loading screen crash but if anyone knows a fix please let me know.
I've tried:
1. Verifying game files in steam
2. Running the game as admin
3. running the game in compatibility mode (windows 8 and 7)
Hi PublicVoodoo. I'm sorry to hear that. Are you running the Windows Insider program?
No the insider program is not runningOriginally Posted by ubi--unicorn Go to original post
What is your Windows "OS build" number? It can be found under Windows Settings->System->About.
Not sure how its happened but the game is now working fine this morning, I've been able to get a few hours from it.
Thanks for the update PublicVoodoo,
Let us know if the issue returns!
Well the problem has come back, I have no idea why it was working and why its not again.
Sorry to hear that! Could you please see if these steps help?
Tried all of the solutions in that guide nothing works, the game still crashes when pressing to continue game and gives no reason for the crash.
There is likely a security conflict between some software and EAC. Please disable all background programs and then try the game again.
