Agent pulls to one side by itself, is map the problem?

I've had this problem on Far Cry and Division. Your moving like normal, then suddenly your being pulled left or right.
Pull up the main map and the map is moving by itself left or right.

    How do you stop this?

I end up mashing keys and most times the map would stop moving on it's own and my agent can move freely again, or there has been a couple times I had to just quit.

    Any ideas?

Are you playing with a controller ? I have the same issue , I walk forwards with no input from me.

Try another input methord and see if you can replicate it. In my case its a dodgy controller and I need to buy a new one.

if its happening on multiple games its def whatever device you are using. Like Shade said, a wonky controller will cause this for sure.

I'm on a pc with a mouse and keyboard.

Both Far Cry and Division are made by the same company. I don't have this problem with any other games.

Last time it happened i was in survival, just jumped over the wall, then out of nowhere my agent is moving sideways.

I managed to get it to stop somehow but there was no way to finish survival when your agent has a mind of their own lol.

    Hey SamS447,

Could your keys potentially be sticking somehow? Does this occur when using another keyboard?

No I don't think so. I got the game Far Cry 3 for my dad and he also had the problem.

It doesn't happen that often but when it does there's not much you can do, hold the opposite key then your character doesn't move but you also can't play.

This is happening to me since 1.7 as well, though somewhat different. Sometimes the game doesn't respond to my sprint button or sometimes I keep sprinting even after releasing my sprint button. I tested with 3 keyboards and different USB ports/Controllers on the motherboard, same behavior on all situations.

It happens to me from time to time. I simply double tap to dodge on the opposite direction and it goes away.

When it happens, does your map also move to one side by itself?
