Can Goki get a Sumo like Push in his rework? Equal to Cent/ Highlander's kick. He currently has 0 ways to open up turtles other then his useless feint. Or even the ability to fake out demon's embrace? It would be nice to have some openers considering his lack of combos.
I would change the "sumo push" to a sumo charge. Raider's charge like.
But Shugoki can do it out of dodge.
Idea:
-you can let it go immediately after initiating it from a dodge or you can charge it. Fully charged the sumo charge can push people to the ground, guarenteeing a heavy. Not fully charged sumo charges will push the opponent 10m backwards guarenteeing a wallsplat if wall nearby
-standard charges guarentee a DE when wallsplat
-standard charges guarentee a headbutt afterwards which puts the oppenent out of stamina (qustionable idea maybe)
-heavies can be soft-feinted into Sumo Charge
I really like the idea with the sumo slap, too.
Idea:
-Shugoki's lights are chargeable and soft-feintable into sumo slap
-stuns the oppenent and drains a bit of stamina
-guarentees a wallsplat. Right light soft-feint, left wallsplat. Left light sf, right ws. Top light sf, front ws.
-fully charged lights guarentee a headbutt on block and do 25 damage

He really needs a solid opener that has some range to it. Something like celtic curse. I always thought more characters should have openers like that.
If the slap is dodge-able though its going to be difficult to land. I mean look at all the valk complaints right now with sweep. There needs to be some sort of good follow up to a move like that. Other wise its just a dodge-able headbutt. If it did some damage and could ledge people that would be reason enough to try it over headbutt in certain situations.

All I know is Goki heavy is too slow for feints to work against more skilled players. And ALL his un-blockables leave him wide open. I'm still pretty new to this game but from what I understand Goki has received nothing but nerfs since day one. And no buff or rework to compensate it.
Oni Charge is a joke. DE is easy to read and dodge. And you're begging to get parried if you throw an un-blockable heavy that's super slow and is fooling no one with how early the animation for it cuts out.
