Resistance meter dynamic ruins otherwise great game. Reasons:
1. It’s too easy to fill.
2. Most story mission content gets skipped if you do side missions and all the other fun stuff that are hallmarks if Far Cry games.
3. Ruins fun of exploring open world.
4. Game goes too fast.
5. Don’t get enough time to use all fun tools at disposal since world becomes empty after regions are liberated, plus unlocking skills, new weapons and getting perks means that the main story missions get skipped because resistance meter fills up to fast.
6. Kidnapping is immersion breaking and wrecks current mission (shouldn’t be possible while you are on mission)
7. Makes game so linear that you have to skip so much content if you want to play the main story properly.
8. Bad game design for open world free roam player (ie people who play Far Cry and not COD)

Ubisoft please patch it. Game is really unbalanced. Resistance meter sucks and ruins your game!!!

Best way to fix it is to only fill each bar fully when you complete main story missions. Side quests and activities should only fill meter by a fraction. Basically you need to do main story mission milestones to get through each meter bar and a few side missions/activities to help fill meter in order to trigger next set of main story missions.

I never post on forums, but this game design is just terrible and the far cry community deserve better.
