Thank you Ubisoft for saving me money!
I just wanted to thank the developer of this game for saving me tons of money. I am usually an avid spender on video games, buying way too money games and playing them for a week or two and moving on to the next one. FarCry has always been a game that I can sit on for months, sometimes years at a time, because of the map editor and the endless possibilities it bring for new experiences and an endless stream of content. Creating maps fulfills my long time dream of developing video games myself in a way that no other game ever has before. I was somewhat remiss when the multiplayer map editing was removed in favor of single player only and with this latest iteration bringing it back I couldn't be happier. I know you guys get a lot of flak for a lot of different issues with the game and editor among other things, but know that you have made my life easier by making a game that adequately satisfies all my gaming needs in a single title. Sure, the shooting element could be tighter and more balanced, there could be more multiplayer modes, less bugs, etc, etc, etc... but with this iteration I have seen more attention paid to the community than in times past and the regular stream of new content for multiplayer and the editor I believe is unprecedented. Seriously, the sheer volume of assets from so many different games in your catalog made available to the editing community and the clip at which said content has been made available (ALL FOR FREE MIND YOU!) has made this my favorite game in the series. I have not bought a single game for myself since picking this one up and I hope this continues to be the case for months to come. As an adult in my mid 30's my money is important to me and you guys really nailed it for me. Thank you! Keep up the good work Ubi, don't let the haters tear you down! Keep squashing those bugs and continue building this game and editor into something for the ages!
The only thing really missing is more multi player modes, respawning vehicles (+ more of them), and a better balance for the weapons. Other than that, I am completely content.
Thank you again Ubisoft, keep rocking my world!
