I was in tournament finals with highlander against a braindead warden main and was up 2-0. But then he started rolling away from every single one of my mixups and there was nothing I could do to punish it because he recovered too fast and would zone or light or heavy me out of offensive. Rolling is a broken mechanic because some characters can punish it while others cannot and it uses barely any stamina so you can pretty much spam it.
I suggest we make rolling use 85% stamina, but also make it unpunishable for EVERY hero. No more warden shoulderbashing you outa a roll, or shaman leaping across the map to hit you in your roll. But with 80% stamina cost and a 2 second stamina regen delay, rolling will be risky despite being a free out. No more braindead warden players spamming roll then abusing their 50/50 that you can’t roll out of.
Sadly you haven’t seen any warden gameplay apparently because the charged SB will track you in your roll unless you’re able to dodge backwards then roll out of range. It doesn’t matter whether I can catch him by unlocking or not, it still negates my mixup. And this guy just spammed it. How is a FREE out of a combo not worth 80% stamina? It should be a free out with risks not involving damage, not a spammable move that just resets everything.
Highlander doesn’t have a shieldbash as far as I know, and yes I agree his 50/50 is overtuned, but with all the **** the devs **** out these days, highlander is far from OP. The devs decided to make this game all about 50/50 unblockable spam, yet they made roll spammable and only effective against half the cast. Roll should not be spammable or punishable for anyone.
