Ubi Please Don't Give Shugo Back That Bug | Forums

When this bug was rampant 4v4's were a nightmare with just only one shugo with the ability to demons embrace someone through their revenge. All he has to do is wait until you do an action, unless its a dodge and he scoops you up guaranteeing your death. There's really no counter play to this when you're outnumbered, it was unfun and really broken, reason being it was labeled a bug. His hug should work just like every other bash/grapple. If you're in the middle of attacking or anything offensive it should not go through. Please rethink what you're doing ubi, I understand he's weak and you've gotta satisfy your customers when they complain, but this just ain't right.

Nope, he needs it back. Other characters with grapple or cc moves has fast startup and recovery. DE takes ages, so it makes sense for him to be able to hug through revenge “scrub” builds.

So it makes sense for him to be able to cc someone for free even in revenge, when every else can't? It's fair when a shugo times their embrace properly when ganking and grabs you. But it's not fair that he can do it no matter what you're doing. The bandwagon for shugo is way too large for its own good, honestly. I get that he's not very good, trust me I know, but from the meme spam to people being ok with a bug in-game that makes the hero frustrating...

It's not that we're in love with bugs, or even with this bug. The problem is that it was decided that development time would be given to fixing this. I love this game, so it's really sad to see that damaging shugoki further was more important than play-testing my conqueror's block changes to avoid the new bug they introduced, or deleting catapult, or BUFFING shugoki, or implementing the new gear system.

If you can't avoid the slowest grab in the game with basically zero tracking, you might want to learn. All that has happened is that you need much less situational awareness while fighting shugoki in dominion.

It's not a bug. It's a legit grab. Goki can still DE threw revenge. They just took away his ability to do it threw Hyper Armor. Since you have Hyper Armor while attacking in revenge a lot of people are fooled by this. There are a bunch of classes that can grab threw Hyper Armor. It's kind of BS that the SLOWEST grab in the game can't do it....

Please consider your ability to dodge to avoid Goki's DE. I mean it is the slowest move in game. If he misses he loses 1/3 his health. And he has that trade mark shout long before lunching it. Hands down one of the most telegraphed moves in the game. If one class is giving you trouble with one move in a very particular situation.... I advise more practice sir.

While we are rolling back our recent change and will again allow Demon's Embrace's to hit hyper-armored enemies, we are still looking to make it a permanent change in the future. Many players have been very vocal about Shugoki's current state and we feel that it is permissible to revert this change until future balance changes can be made to address the balance concerns players have with the hero.
