Since the release of season 7, I've been grinding ranked matches to try and get to master and for a few specific ornaments for characters I play.

I'm now aware that ornaments from previous seasons can now be earned in ranked matches. But I've played maybe 20-25 matches so far and all I've got is paint patterns and possibly a few engravings. but I forgot. Do I need to play in ranked tournaments (only available on weekends) to get these ornaments, or is there a certain amount of games I need to win before getting one?

Ornaments can be obtained outside of tournaments in the Ranked Duel matches. The way it works is that at the end of each Ranked match win, players have a low chance of getting a tournament reward from each tier.

It's completely random which tier of reward you'll get or even if you'll get a tournamemt reward at all. It's basically a slot machine from a casino, for every match you win you get one pull on the slot machine.

I hope this mode fails hard. To have a low chance at getting rewards is absolutely insane. It's not even worth starting or trying for the average player. At a handfuls of games a day, with multiple characters I want to obtain rewards for... I'm looking at approximately *782,475,411,996 billion days before completion.

Every win, every time, or remove rank and just put the rewards up for sale.

Is there a precise percentage that can be given?
Or should we just assume a very low chance of getting an ornament

If you want the ornament you will have to beat the tournament last 1 left and then you will get a ornament based on which character you beat the last fight with or played the most in the tournament. That is the one thing I haven't figured out yet.
