Ain't it amazing how Subsim saves a Ubi Forums mod from extinction? There's a lesson there! Head on over and see what a real sub forum is all about!

Ubi Forums deserves to be the preeminent forum since it is the official site of Silent Hunter. However, due undoubtedly to dilution of talent and multiple games to support, Ubi has not stepped up to the plate with enough effort to make that happen.

The only place the Silent Hunter series is a living breathing entity is over at Subsim. Here SH4 is on life support, SH3 is dead and SH5 was stillborn.

Ok, there's a place run by this European fellow coincidentally called Carotio that has a pretty darn good forum and files collection! www.silenthuntermods.com I believe.

I should have said that Ubi Forums has given away its rightful function to others and named a small collection of sites in addition to Subsim. Of that collection you have to admit that Subsim garners more traffic.

Of course, it does. It's known by lots more people. But SHMF is growing too and has its qualities: first forum to try and establish multi-lingual support and discussions in the same forum. Besides hosting some of the more popular mods, SHMF allows free talk. I don't mind swearing, it's all part of seamen talk, you know.
Say by the way, long time no see you there...

You know, this Trans-Atlantic Radio mod could be secured in SHMF too if asked politely...
