    Credits for duplicates (prestige crates)

Can anyone explain how this works?

I had obtained 12 prestige crates after playing for a while, so I get crates and start opening them. 6/12 of these crates contained duplicates (wtf...)

So it says: ''you've already unlocked this item, you will receive credits''.

Instead of giving prestige credits back (that'd be logical?) I noticed that my normal credits (those blue ones) went slightly up. I think I got like 80 from a total of 7 duplicates? Surely the people at Ubisoft know that you can literally get nothing from that. Wtf?

Every prestige crate duplicate gives you 10 credits in the regular store.

And, yes, it's a bit of a grind if you want to save up to buy anything in the main store this way. Cheapest thing there is going to be battle crates with new "SO2" items at 400, I think. (Or there might be a pack or two of silly things for 300 something.)

On the bright side opening 20 prestige crates total, duplicates or not, also gets you a free new item battle crate.

I don't think Ubisoft meant to phase out microtransactions, just to give people a way to ever so slowly grind for literally any/every item if they so chose.

I suppose I shouldn't really be upset given that it's a grind, no money involved, but 10 points is really... like nothing.

Oh well, thanks for the responce anyway

Well, its my understanding that prestige credits are finite. You can only achieve the milestones that give you credits once and this includes T1 rank-ups. But the full intended functionality of this system has yet to be fully explained or spelled out by Ubisoft I think. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if this is the case, " ever so slowly grind for literally any/every item if they so chose." may be a bit of an overstatement.
