Does anyone else get tired of being spoon-fed in their Solo maps? I mean mostly the use of way markers or flares and the like. To me it takes away all the fun of exploring if you're just going to be given a list of places to go and how to get there. Where's the joy in that?

I know it can be a bit frustrating when wandering aimlessly around a map without a clue as to where you're supposed to be going, or is often the case spending ages trying to find the last few stragglers who've wandered off into the bush randomly. But generally I'd rather even do that than have a big neon sign shouting where to to go and what to do next.

I guess it's different in multi-player where it's all about racking up kills and whatnot, but that's just not my cup of tea. I'm a lone-wolf and I like playing or designing Solo maps with hopefully just the right combination of exploration and combat and not having it all handed to me on a silver plate.

To that end I've just released a Bounty Hunt map called 'Hidden Underground' with what I hope is the right level of subtlety for those that like to find their own way. Judging by the low ratings so far I guess not. Heh heh heh never mind, I had a lot of fun making it, so that's the main thing.

Maybe I'm weird like that and everyone else just likes to be told where to go next?
