When Eden's Gate moved into this sleepy seaside village the denizens paid little attention. That was a big mistake, the first of many. Before they knew it The Father had taken complete control of the local government. His consolidation of power was swift, his rule ruthless and brutal. His henchmen jailed those who failed conversion and "disappeared" the ones who fought back. But, today the dissidents have broken out of the prison and are going to take back their home town ...or die trying. The critical objective is the military base in the Citadel. Capture the Citadel and you take back the bay, Rebellion Bay!
Map notes: With this map, I've tried to achieve a complex, multilevel street fight, with a mixture of close up and distance combat from multiple and sometimes opposing directions. The player is put on a set path but has some choices as to how to approach and attack the choke-points. I wanted a kind of cautious run and gun with a few plausible surprises. I hope it's tough but fun.
I've wanted to make a map like this for a long time; a cliff city with tight and twisty little paths and roads crawling up the face of the mountain; dark alleys and cubby holes offering exotic encounters. Well, that's what it was supposed to be like in my mind. I attempted several incarnations in Far Cry 4, but with only a scant number of structures I couldn't get anything to gel. Frustrated and beaten, I gave up. I put it so far from my mind that it didn't immediately occur to me to tackle it again once I fired up FC5's map editor -- with its mind boggling new array of buildings. So here it is; after almost two months of continuous obsession. I have finally exorcised the demon!
