Two things that disappoint me about the ending:

We are not taking actively part in it.
Afterwards, the game just acts like we didn't finish it. That's another proof of the devs laziness. Games like FarCry 5 make this much better.

But the message of the ending is exactly what I expect from a game like this. You can imagine that exactly that would happen. And shows how ****ed up the world is we are living in-

And btw, if you want to see a bad ending, play FarCry 5 lol.

I didn't find the ending that bad.

Maybe it's just me, but I feel like people are forgetting that you're just a soldier. Maybe a good one, but a soldier no less.

Bowman is just a CIA agent, maybe one with quite a lot of authority (like damn, I doubt one person would ever be able to have as much freedom as she had, but what ever), still, she's just an agent

For both the Ghosts and Bowman their job is not much more than following orders. I do agree that the ''bigger'' bosses, that all of a sudden pop up at the end, could have been mentioned earlier, but I wouldn't call the ending ''the worst ever'' because of that.

In my opinion it's a bit more realistic, your mission's over, but the world's still ****.

I am not a big fan of ''happy endings'' anyway.

Now about you saying this ending was worse than Mass Effect 3's, I would have to strongly disagree. Mass Effect 3's ending was SO BAD that it fundamentally broke that game's universe. By shoving in some deus ex machina that made no sense based off of established lore, and was so thematically inconsistent with the rest of the trilogy, that it forced its sequel to take place as far away from the Milky Way as possible. Which of course raises all of these plot holes and retcons introduced in Andromeda (why was there all of this advanced tech in 2185 that wasn't seen in 2186 during ME3?) From everything I've seen of Andromeda, it looks terrible, and I have no intention of playing it. But its premise was doomed from the onset by the abysmal ending of ME3. Wildlands ending is certainly disappointing, but at least it properly sets up a sequel.
In defence of Mass Effect 3 the various versions of Commander Shepard's speech over the end cutscenes if you picked the "control" ending are literally the most badarse thing in the entire series. XD

Spot on about the ME3 ending, and totally unfair to compare this game's ending to it.

I could discuss this and other things about the ME3 ending till I die of old age, sadly I think we're getting off topic and a mod may have to step in ....
