I assume the skills menu screen has had this since release;
Under Diversion Lure it states with each upgrade that you are adding a "grenade", not a "lure".
Perhaps not so minor:
Would be nice if the lure could have an increase in effective range - really amazed as to how close to the NPC one must land a lure for them to take notice.
Would be very, very helpful if a player could pickup a placed device (mine/C4). That one can't is truly a mystery to me in the original game design.
I've certainly immediately regretted some mine placements once I realized that civilian traffic does head through the area, so I totally understand where you're coming from.
Can you give an eyeball estimate of how much bigger you'd like the diversion lure's range to be? I.e. double what it is now, for example?
I will never forget the very first time in the game I placed some mines, to stop a convoy, only to discover that I couldn't pickup them up as civilian cars had spawned out of sight and heading in the same direction...Originally Posted by UbiInsulin Go to original post
After some testing, I'd say about 1/3 to 1/2 increase from the current parameters would really be nice. Part of the situation which is a factor is related to how throwing is coded (as already mentioned in the thread regarding grenades around corners.) What is meant is that in an open area, the issue of distance isn't as bad as when in a confined area. At least in my somewhat limited experience. I'm so used to the Far Cry series of just throwing a rock as a distraction, and whether a player is crouched or standing also isn't a major factor.Originally Posted by UbiInsulin Go to original post
