Of the 17 listed by you guys, if you tick all those which can lead to a loss of a character in Ghost Mode then these are more than likely receiving attention. Even then, the September deadline is a tight time frame to address them. The best I would hope for is that the game detects these glitch deaths and then ignores them as a permadeath. If they get further than that then all good, but I'm not expecting it.
I agree. After all, while many of these have been brought up plenty of times before, GM has certainly put them back in the spotlight.Originally Posted by AI BLUEFOX Go to original post
I do hope that they will also copy those new features over to the main game though. .....for those of us who would really prefer not to have to play GM (with PD) just to access them.
I mentioned this a couple times already but the online backup ability on the PS4 has actually made Ghost Mode really fun for my friends and I. There is still an element of tension because you can still lose a sessions worth of progress but there is no risk of losing it all. .....which is what none of us wanted (the permadeath feature). We were more interested in the other features in this new mode. Now, the backup has given us a reason to play. Without it, we would have likely never tried.Originally Posted by AI BLUEFOX Go to original post
I can now see how a revised death feature some have suggested might be a good option but then again, I know some still want a true PD experience (with fixes). .
That's interesting. I hope the devs do revise the PD element in Ghost Mode.Originally Posted by Kean_1 Go to original post
I lost one early on - My own mistake - and thoroughly enjoyed the ride. However I just didn't have the inclination to restart it all. It can be taxing and I have over 300 Hours logged in-game with countless restarts. If there was a less punitive approach to this then maybe I could see myself starting a new GM run.
On the flip-side I do feel that Perma death (as it is currently) really made the mode. The added tension made me fall back on sound tactics. I really did relish the game mode because of this.
Perhaps of Ghost Mode could be bundled in with an NG+ feature, where you could port over a character from one of the main campaign saves - with all weapons, attachments and skills unlocked. I would certainly like that.
This way, I'm less concerned with grinding for points and focusing on the missions and the narrative. A relatively pure experience.
THe idea of an NG+ element in GM makes sense to me for the reasons described. I'd just be worried about ruining the experience for others that may like starting from scratch. ....perhaps as an option with revised rewards?Originally Posted by shobhit7777777 Go to original post
Either way, I wouldn't mind seeing an NG+ option in the main campaign. .....especially all those other new features currently locked in GM.
I'm also hoping they can get some of these long standing bugs we've been reporting worked out next month as well.
Agreed completely.Originally Posted by Kean_1 Go to original post
