I think that the change to raked tournaments are awesome! The only thing I don’t understand is the system in place for how much you gain or lose after the match. I won 94% of my first 15 matches and then several matches after being placed in platinum 3. I then lost 2 matches in a row and went from plat 3 to plat 1. It just seems like the amount you lose and the amount you gain doesn’t really make much sense. A system in place closer to league of legends would probably work much better if anyone here is familiar with that. Thoughts? Is it just me that feels the win/loss numbers are just completely out of wack and don’t make sense? Makes me not want to even play ranked because one bad match could send you down another tier.

I think it's the done this way in an attempt to keep the mode competitive. As in, losing drops you strongly so that you need to grind out a few more wins, or try to at least.

Of course, the opposite effect may also happen, as you suggested.

If it's the same formula as it was in the Duel Tournament, prepare for some frustrating gaming. Win a game with an opponent on par, gain 15 %. Lose a game vs an opponent on par, lose 90%.

i had the same thing , after i won all my qualify matches i was placed in diamond 4 and that was way to high for my skill (i dont belong in diamond) because alomost all my matches was vs new/low skilled ppl.
then i had matches vs same skilled ppl and i lost alot and went down to gold 4 in less than 10 matches where im now go up and down but if im losing then the points lost are mostly not higher then 20 so im stay around gold 4-5 and i like it now how it is.
but dont ask me why the different in points lost is so big in higher tiers.
atleast the MM put me alot in matches vs ppl with same skill rating so im having a great time in ranked

New ranked 1v1 mode, everyone plays warden cos of buff and spams his charged shoulder bash. The shoulder charge's homing needs to nerfed right away! I'm just annoying that rework only made them spam shoulder and cortex more and gave them an unblockable about any heavy attack. Sure.

I think the new ranked duel system is garbage, I have played around 11 matches and won 4 of them, and i got only 1 item related to the hero i won with( one of the ornaments/symbols/.....etc), however the 3 other wins I got Nothing at all, this mode regarding the rewards is complete trash compared to the ranked tournaments duel system, where you get rewards depending on your contribution in the tournament, I dreadfully hate this new ranked duel, it doesn't incentives me to play it at all,it is supposed to give you stuff if you win it (while it happened only once in 4 times) and facing always try-hards in there makes a bad experience for me (your going to say "get good", well ofcourse I will if I was playing vs people around my skill level I will get good) and so ofcourse losing all those matches doesn't give you anything for sure, which makes it not worth my time to be honest, Please bring back ranked tournament duels.

If you got one item out of four wins, I think that is pretty good to be honest. You aren't supposed to get anything after every game, remember tournament wins rewarded you with these ornaments.

Don't worry. Tournaments aren't gone, they are active on weekends, starting next weekend. I also think the matchmaking have been kind of spotty. It could be that or I'm just not used to playing all the new Wardens.

Yeah ranked is gay and not worth the effort why try so hard to win when 1 loss and you lose like 10 wins worth of rank, I was put in platinum 4 lost every game to people way better than me or with massive lag using cheese classes, it's just not even fun everyone plays so safe it's boring.

I like your positive view, but to add to the amount of garbage this new system is, I keep facing the same guy who beat me up match after match after match(I lost against 1 try hard around 3 times in a row and won the 4th match, the matchmaking is bad to make me face the same dude who beat me allot of times in a row), I lose rank, and whenever I get a win, i don't get anything for it, it has no incentives and its not fun at all(since you tend to face the same try-hards repeatedly all the time), in tournaments there are small chances that you would face the same guy who beat you, and you get guaranteed rewards for your effort, and I really hope they never remove ranked tournament duels, I like the bracket system and the quarter final, semi finals and finals, it pumps some adrenalin when you win one of those, and when you lose you don't feel as bad as the current new ranked duels.
