    Valk is ruined i feel like 30 ranks of nothing but valk was a waste of time.

    Valk can no longer knock people down with charge when they attack you, cant move out of full black without pressing B, full block charge no longer blocks attacks, mind you the valks charge is beated by every other charge in the game valk is now lowest tier in my book if it wasnt already more versatile my *** its the exact opposite this make me really just never want to pick up another ubisoft game ever again i put so much work into geting good at valk and loving every second of it other then facing shamens some times now valk feels like every other class instead of being a individual class im going to keep trying but its not looking good to me this over haul for valk was very bad and i think most would agree. I feel like valk is just going to be endless leg sweeps now which is really not fun thats the real issue here valk is no longer fun to play at all.

    Well like others said.. this rework is probably the bigger they made by considering how many things has changed.

    Still, i would give another pov :

    1/ Some nerfs

    Of course, some nerfs got this poor Valk, list :

    -Lights now deals less dmg
    -Sweep To heavy is a finisher (end of shield crash to chain)
    -Shield tackle is. ... well.. not to use anymore saddly .. cant feint it.. no full block properties after released, no take down.. (signature moove)
    -They remove headbutt 😭

    2/ Massive Buff

    Overall, she got strong buff for me, list :

    -Heavies and sweep punish deals more dmg, specially the sweep heavy finisher is badasss!
    -Lights are faster ! 500ms and then 400ms and has better range
    -Shield crush now guranteed a light
    -Recovery time in general is better
    -sweep is far faster
    -new chain which allow Her up choose light or heavy at any hit she land !
    -Light finisher now Stun + big Stam dmg + wallsplat properties which look sooo cool
    -Her zone is now softfeintable for shield crush after first hit or hard feintable for anything
    -deflect deals now more dmg (it could already chain before)
    -light sup block now is unblok and made 27 dmg !! But the timing is still pretty hard on that ..
    -her 50/50 whith GB is now a real one as sweep is faster !
    -her dodge amplitude is larger now

    To recap, i would say this rework is very good for here in my opinion .
    Yes few things disappear and these were like signature mooves for Her which is kind of sad but buffs or new things like light wallsplat came To replace it .

    Overall she is far stronger in my opinion.

    Still there are two mistakes in this rework i believe.
    1/ destroyed shield tackle is a non sense, it should still be here. It was nerf so hardly than you should even remove it or put back the old one
    2/good To have new chain but there are a fundamental problem in these chains.. lights are very fast and heavies very slow ! And as valk hit (except for shield crush) have always To be hard feinted.. looks not efficient To do like a light - heavy feint - light .. that's too slow (except while in revenge)
    So my prediction is that despite having 9 chain now.. we gonna see almost exclusivly the good old light light heavy or light - heavy softfeint for SB.
    Heavies should be speed up by 100 or 200ms To be worth it.

    She's changed, but give it time for you to get used to her new moveset. Some people are loving it so it can't be all bad. I feel for you though, Warden is my main and I was worried what they would do to him in the rework but he's still pretty awesome.

    Nope

    I played the valk cause i loved they valk they took everything that made the valk a valk and ruined it its just like every other class now i cant stand it if i wanted this i would have just chosen another class i cant take the valks new play style it has nothing to do with how good valk is its just not fun that charge is so useless now no joke when before it was what made the valk a valk the full block charge that blocked while charging.

    Like i said in.the other thread "how is valk rework" .. she is changed and some signature mooves disappear but overall sue receive a strong buff and is more efficient like that .
    I admit this feel strange.. Valk is my Co main and i feel like i am rep 2 with Her right now.. her moveset has changed a lot.

    I think it is in a good way even if this is not perfect, 2 or 3 things i would have done in other way.

    We have to use to it .

    My other main is Kensei and just after the rework i was feeling unconfortable and unhappy with his rework but at the end he is far stronger like that

    Unwork valkyrie

    I love everything about the Valkyrie in For Honor. She’s a strong, defensive and very technical character. Before the update I never felt that Valkyrie needed anything other than a slight damage buff on her heavies.. I mean like 25 dmg??? Pathetic but other than that she was a very efficient and rewarding character to play as.

    As soon as I finished updating and jumped into training mode, I tried some of my pre-rework combos and oh boy .... NO SHIELD BASH AFTER HEAVY LIKE WUT?? like that was bread and butter and crucial for playing mind games with the opponent.

    The recent valk rework is very disappointing Ubisoft and you changed things that were unnecessary. All of her defensive attributes were stripped away ( I’ll get to those later) She is no longer fun to play. And yeah she has more chains but for some reason its so predictable.

    Full guard is pretty much usless now.. can no longer dodge out of it to avoid kicks or deflect an attack, can no longer knock heroes to the ground with charged shield bash (which was F****** so cool!), and was crucial for 4v4 battles. Canceling the full guard on a controller just feels so unnatural and inefficient. I just dont even bother with it anymore. This really sucks because in my opinion Valkyrie’s defensive attributes were very powerful and I know that the meta had changed but I still had no problem slaying orochi’s and shamas pre-rework.

    She no longer gets a sweep off a guard break.


    PLEASE UBISOFT UNWORK VALKYRIE!!!

    I gotta lol a bit at the complaint at the start "she was reworked and now I have to play her different! Boo!" like...it's a rework lmao.

    And her shield tackle was BS. You could not punish it. Only punish what she chose to do from it. It deserved to be nerfed.
    She's got more options of loops now due to the new combo strings. And her old sweep combo is now not an inf but instead confirms 35 damage as an ender. that's damn strong considering how fast new sweep is.

    Her damage and recovery pre rework was poor. Shield crush never gave you anything. She only had her OP shield tackle and her some what nice shoulder pin combo. This new kit regardless of wether or not she's lost some of her quirk is a lot more viable.

    I never though i would say that but i agree with Knight there..

    Yes it is sad we dont have anymore headbutt, usefull shield tackle or shield crush after a heavy .. and lights dmg has been down.

    I juste dont really like the changes on her dodge timing and i am still wondering how and when using her sup block despite of parry or deflect in some cases but that's all .

    With 100ms faster heavies it would have been Perfect ^^
    Overall i like it and also because it ask me To work on her like i am a valk beginner. . That's challenging !

    The heavy feint into the unreactable shield bash is ******ed. Her 400 ms light opener is ******ed. Suck it up

    They gave her more offensive options but she is still too slow. Her sweep is easily dodged and the only lights that are fast are the top ones, anything else with be block/parried which is really bad since the easiest attacks to deflect/parry/block are from the top.

    Her Shield Crush is pretty good, but the Shield Tackle is pretty bare bones now, the fact that you can get hit out of it and no longer charges for the knock down makes it unattractive to use.

    Her new sweep now knocks over *EVERYONE* in the area. Like the old sweep was never this bad but this time it's like they really want you to know how annoying it is to have a Valk in the game, almost like the Slogan for her rework was

    "The new Valkyrie rework will have players swept off their feet!"

    She doesn't feel as defensive anymore, and more about getting those Shield Crushes for the guaranteed light and hopefully they don't dodge your sweep for you to land that juicy 35 damage and spamming as many top lights as possible because they are the only strikes that are fast enough.

    I've been trying to land the 3rd light to get that shield smack but it's very telegraphed and I get punished, but when I don't those guys go pretty far and lose a chunk of stamina. Alot of old follow-ups are missing and it sucks but you just have to get used to it.

    Can't even charge your headbutt, shield crush after a heavy, or sweep after a headbutt anymore
