if u gonna give valk a free light after every bash then slow the bash a tad its not reactable only pre dodge works or keep the speed but dont guarantee a light attack
but both there is stupid even if u dodge the bash she has 400 ms light to follow thats too fast to decide cuz she could not even throw it and miss a gb
its so hard to punish the bash its ridiculous really

it's a 500ms bash that comes from an 800ms? heavy. You can react dodge on the indicator of the heavy to avoid both the heavy and the shield crush. That is 100% reactable.

Valk/warden rework, is no one gonna talk about it?

Honestly valk mains must be having the time of their lives seeing as she's the most broken hero if used by someone with a minimum of 4 brain cells. And warden mains just got a way to lunge themselves after retreating enemies, oh and when facing an assassin a warden just has to wait for the guard to drop and use his valiant breakthrough for a guaranteed top heavy hit. Valk is considered decent by people who don't play high end and trash by those that do. Main complaint is that she lost her identity.
Warden is getting nothing but good talk. Some OP talk.

Valiant break through occurs 300ms into the dodge and the attack itself is a 500ms attack. This means from dash to hit/block a total of 800ms has passed. Which is 200ms shy of a full second.
There is plenty of time to react block it.

Yeah it's pretty easy to block/dodge eapecially now when people are trying it out. The reach is insane tho but i guess that was intended.

You're both right but, I'm on console therefore light attacks are almost unreactable

Thing is, she's also great now. This is the direction the game is going because the devs have no idea how to create anything interesting outside of faster attacks - and then a lot of people eat it up claiming the game is becoming more predictive then reactive. Bullsh/t, it's just becoming faster without any thought. Valk is now competitive with all the other DLC and reworks, and that probably sucks.
This video does a good job of explaining the shield tackle being removed problem and that she is now one dimensional with the loss of her vortexes with the new reset. She has less flow and allot more vulnerable.

Read this in the YouTube comments: she had a broken leg so they tied a splint to it and broke both her arms... 😂

    Valk feels weird

Disclaimer I don't play Valk, but playing against her now doesn't feel true to what she is depicted as, some shield maiden. She feels like any other, sometimes annoying, assassins light heavy with dash attacks (correct me if she actually doesn't have a dash attack and I'm just triping) and the added bonus of having a shield/full block kinda crazy. Not asking for a Nerf as I'm coming to accept this game will probably never be balanced in a way that would satisfy everyone, just throwing out my opinion.

She has gotten light spammy like an assassin and she does have a dash attack, her full block took a pretty big nerf though, you can no longer move straight into a dash attack from full block, and also her full block no longer blocks everything while she's doing her shield charge so you can hit her with a light or a heavy when she is on her way in if you time it righ.

I'm not 100% on this but I think she can be hit while back stepping into her full block as well.

Full block only works while she's sitting in the pounce position with her shield at the ready, and I don't think it gets her very much if she connects with it anyway, just a chain starter.

Valkyrie's Rework was a bad idea

Okay first off I want to apologize that I might sound a bit edgy (yeah cuz i actually am) and there might be unhealthy amount of complaints. Second, Sorry for my English, if you see some cringy mistakes just ignore them. Also I know not much people will even visit this thread so if you played valkyrie at least just a little please read this till the beginning and give me your opinion on her mega buff

Valkyrie rework, something she needed for a long time right? She was so "slow" and so "weak" her recovery wasn't in the norms with other heroes.

    Wrong

First of all, Valkyrie never needed any rework. She was the perfect, ideal example of how hybrid should look like (and how many time you'd need to play a certain hero to become good with them)
My Fellow Valkyrie Mains will understand me now, You had to play Valkyrie a lot, and when I say "a lot" I really mean A LOT to be a good valkyrie player. And most of them will agree with me when I say that this rework was completely unneccessary, it made her too strong without any need for skill and knowledge of the new moveset.

New valkyrie seems like mega-buffed conqueror on drugs, you have shield spam with guaranteed light after that, except that can also be chained into other stupid combos like sweep or heavy that you feint into gb or superior light... whatever is that called.

But one thing they nerfed, which is her shield tackle. I understand nerfing it, because it easily created a gap between you and your opponent, BUT I DO NOT UNDERSTAND THEIR REASON FOR IT. I watched the whole stream, and they said that they're removing it because it was too strong in 4v4..... Okay..... > changes (nerfs / buffs) of a certain move should NEVER be decided by 4v4. Since this mode is not about skill, no it's really not, it's about having a right number of people on the point, it's about having a numberous advantage above your enemy in certain part of the map. So I understand that they nerfed it but i don't understand their reason.

Okay now I will try to explain why I think the rework was a bad Idea

    1. She was already Strong (Not overpowered) in low tier and a Decent choice in Mid Tier
    2. She was Hard to play, and I think all heroes should be hard like her, because the other way people can "main" 5 easy heroes at the same time and still wreck opponents with them
    3. The rework made her too strong (I won't say overpowered even though I think that, because I would get flamed here) Especially her spam of shield crush into light, funny thing, after she misses shield crush, you don't have guaranted guardbreak if she goes for a light because SHIELD CRUSH STARTS COMBOS what a great idea ubisoft, what a great idea. Does conqueror get guardbroken after he misses shield charge, or whatever is it called? Yeah. Does valkyrie get guardbroken? No, because. Ladies and gentlemen. We start chains with that shield crush

    4. > Every game that has different characters with different abilities has skill tiers of playerbase, Low, Mid, High, yeah there is something between each of the tiers but let's
    stick
    just to the main 3.

    >Developers should always try to make the characters viable for all 3 tiers, but well, it usually can't be done, so they sacrifice one tier, by that i mean the character will be
extremely hard to play in the certain tier. It is usually the High tier, in For Honor, for example, It was the valkyrie, that was hard to play in high tier even after you spent
hundreds of hours playing and practicing her.

The old valkyrie was in: Low Tier a good choice, Mid Tier a decent choice, High Tier, not so good choice, but even though, you still were able to punish you opponent, it
was just hard to engage (Yes I know because I still played her in High tier, she was my favorite choice anytime)

    >The new Valkyrie is now what? > In Low Tier complete nightmare, because new players can't even parry a heavy, they can't dodge shield crush because it's fast, and the
spear sweep is also too fast for them so they get punished for ridiculous amount of damage just because ubisoft sh*ts on new players. Let's be honest, ubisoft doesn't care
about new player.s (As you can see.)
    >In Mid Tier she is also the stupid spamming hero you don't need to use brain to play as, with low punish opportunities while playing against her.
    >In High Tier - I can't tell yet, I am high tier only on console, not pc, and i didn't play against her that much so i can't tell. yet.

Conclusion: Ubisoft should take the old valkyrie as their norm of balance. NOT. SHAMAN. They should revert the Valkyrie changes if they think the game is still worthy of balanced heroes

Why Did I make this post?
I spent hundreds of hours playing Valkyrie, I was just so in love with that hero, I was learning everything about her, and when I finally learned all the playstyles I can win the game against each single class. The rework gets announced, rework which made her stupidly strong and easy character. So All of my hours of "hard work" (yeah hard work sounds dumb while reffering to playing a game, so i'll add quote marks) were LITERALLY for nothing.
I really hope Ubisoft will re-consider leaving her as she is and will revert the stupid spam that she has now.

Also, Just an Advice if any Ubisoft Employee sees this, This game is really nightmare for new players, they will enjoy it only after they will literally drag themselves through the first few weeks of gameplay. There is no decent matchmaking system, which makes it even harder for new players to enjoy the game.
You should focus mostly on Low and Mid tier, since the highest percentage of playerbase is there. And especially, try making it easier for new players to enjoy this game, no wonder most people quit it after few days of being destroyed and sh*t on by other players with higher reps.
