Some more ways to improve Arcade

Probably already been said before, but here goes...

What would be nice would be to be able to find / acquire Gear in the game instead of being given it at the beginning, such as grapple hooks, binoculars etc. Also weapon attachments, such as suppressors, scopes and extended mags. You could then decide which weapons you'd like to upgrade. Be even better if you could also remove them later if you wanted to, or move them to another weapon as you obtain them.

I think it would be fun if we could find equipment later. You could make a Metroidvania type of level where certain areas are inaccessible until you get that equipment. And the grapple hook already functions like this in the actual game if you find it before you buy the perk!

Appreciate these nice ideas you share here MA_FC.
I'm not entirely sure how feasible your proposed changes are, but I'll forward them to the Arcade team as they consider future updates for the games.

    Cheers,
    CJ

When I tested an editormod I did, I placed the grapple gear as a pickup object and it seemed to work great!

I don't completely understand which additional complications there are in adding things to the editor. I can get various objects working in the editor itself, including the DLC enemies. But unfortunately once such a map is published, these added objects seem to disappear from the map.

It probably is due to Arcade game mode not loading all resources while the Editor is more forgiving. And that's unfortunate, from my perspective as a modder. We're at Ubi's mercy.
