    HELP! GRW Starts Every Time as New Game [HELP]

    Dear Ghosts,

    [First of all sorry for bad grammar]

    I am in need of urgently help with GRW.

    I bought the game and its DLCs and gain access to level 23 of the tier one.
    But since a few weeks, when the game starts, and after all messages and warnings, and just before you are in the main menu, suddenly all my club rewards are popping up in the right upper corner.
    At first I thought this was normal, but I saw that I only can start a new game or coop game. Some of my DLC's are also locked.
    The first time, I pressed the ''start new game or coop game'' button, and it shows the basic character but suddenly shows my own character.
    After that, I can choose the game mode.
    Then, when I finally go into the game, it shows [at first] the basic character, with arms spread wide, the whole open world seems to be loading, then it shows my character sitting with the three AI's, with no weapon, it is still loading...
    Okay so far so not good.

    I play a bit for like one hour, then return to the home screen and finally close the game to the desktop.
    The Uplay cloud sync shows me that Uplay is uploading files to the cloud.

    After a while, when starting GRW again, it does all this above again and again and again...

    I disabled cloud sync, and log myself out of all Ubisoft related websites, I verified the game files and restarted the game.
    When I do this, it seems all normal.
    You know the yellow messages GRW is showing? That gives me the idea of that it is restored or something.

    I close Uplay Game Launcher, and start it again and check the cloud sync back on.
    I start GRW, and so far so good, it loads my saved game.
    But,.....when I close GRW, and reopen it, (now with cloud save on), the hell brake loose again...it does it again over and over again.

    For now, I think I have been through this steps like 8 or 9 times. I have verified the game files like a dozen of times, have uninstalled GRW for now like 3 times and installed it back 3 times. Of course I have deleted all leftovers, registry keys, and even deleted all my saved game files of GRW. I have deleted the saved game files like 3 times but it seems to be this issue keeps popping up.

    I have created a ticket like a week ago, and Ubisoft gave me things to do, including a clean windows, but with all this, it hasn't solve my issue yet.
    The ticket no is 06702997.

    Are there Ghost familiar with this issue? Or does anyone know where this issue is coming from and how to prevent it?

    Maybe I should have opened my own thread, but I have the same issue as described above. Every savegame is lost, 1x Level 30 base game character, 1x Tier 1 (on tier 1!) base game character, 1x Narco Road character (roughly at 66% of the story) and 1x Fallen Ghost character (at the beginning).

    This is pretty much fu**ed up, Ubisoft. The described workaround in the linked thread does not work. The competence of your staff is ironically demonstrated clearly as he or she isn't even able to count to 8 properly (hint: between step 5 and 7 there should be a step 6).

    Hello Ubisoft,

    I’ve done all the things you have provided me to do, but I might think where the problem causes conflicts.

    I uninstalled Uplay and its services
    I uninstalled Ghost Recon Wildlands
    I removed the saved files folder from Ghost Recon Wildlands
    I removed all registry keys
    I reinstalled Uplay launcher
    I turned off the Cloud Save Function
    I re-downloaded Ghost Recon Wildlands

    After that I started a complete new game of Ghost Recon Wildlands
    Created a new character and play a bit for like 4 hours
    I closed the game
    After a couple of hours I played it again
    NOTE: NO ISSUES
    After a few hours, I closed the game
    Next day I launched the game
    NOTE: NO ISSUES

    since now I have no issues since I TURNED OFF cloud save function.

    All problems before happens with cloud save function turned on.

    So I might conclude this problem is caused by the cloud save function.
    Now I do have a bit of concerns if I turn back on cloud save function. Is it really necessary to turn it back on? I mean definitely the problem lies in the cloud save function.

    Tell me otherwise if it is save to turn it back on. Probably this solution will save a lot of ghosts.

    Its the same for me except I never lost mission/story progress.
    Also I find it annoying that the latest items I got don't get registered as seen.
    Its not game breaking but a button "Mark al as seen" would be nice.

    I'm so pissed off at the moment!

    I killed several bosses and stuff, and I thought, yeah hey, lets turn back on Cloud Save...
    And you know what.........

    All my progress has been lost!

    For example, I killed Carzita yesterday and just 5 minutes ago, I turned back on Cloud save, and you know what?
    The golden sunglasses are locked.
    I look on the map, and I see I only have defeated Yuri and Polito...

    Ubisoft I think you should look into cloud save function... It really makes me very mad!

    Same here

    I'm having the same issue since the patch. The steps on the official post didn't work, not even one time. However the save is not completely lost. If I keep trying to launch the game over and over it eventually opens with my save on it. However it can take up to 30 min to do so. This is definitely game-breaking.

    This happens to me for a long time, but usually restarting the game 1 or 2 times worked.

    Now it's worse. It doesn't work anymore. It's like with every update, it gets worse.

    I don't know if this is a fix, but I tried this method a few times and it worked:


    -Backup your savegame folder, 1771.
    -Disable Cloud Sync
    -Start the game
    -Quit the game
    -Go to the savegame folder
    -Copy and replace the files from the backup folder to the original folder 1771
    -Put these files in that folder: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachmen...00053/1771.rar . If you have more than 6 saves, just copy one of them and rename.
    -Enable Cloud Sync
    -Start the game

    If it asks which saves to use, choose local.
