    +1 OP

Another thing I've noticed: Vanilla NVG effect actually works in the dark. The PNVGs and ANVIS-21s don't work at all except applying a green filter. Same for the Sonar Goggles. They are useless as night vision devices. It wasn't so earlier.

Sorry about that, we try to reply as much as we can. We actually did catch the feedback and passed it to the team at the time.

It's possible that this is a gameplay choice (i.e. it's hard to shoot stuff when you can't distinguish your reticle from anything else) rather than an issue per se. Maybe this could be a toggle?

little details like these make the game look better

+1 to have the AI engaging their NVG when the players does
would also be nice to see them equipping or removing suppressors when the player does

They could make the reticles glow the proper shade of green when using your NVGs to still be useful, similar to your IR laser on the ATPIAL (which should really be called the PEQ-15 in game since that is the military variant). Speaking of, could we get the IR Illuminator function of the ATPIAL too? Also equip the helmets with an IR strobe so we can easily identify our teammates positions when playing with no HUD. I mean if you’re gonna include night vision then do it true to form. Which IMO night vision should only be available for use if your character is equipped with NVGs. I also would prefer to see the thermal vision changed from multicolor to more realistic black hot or white hot and it too should only be available for use if you equip a thermal weapon scope (add one) or when using the drone. Like I’ve said elsewhere, even when not using night vision, the optic reticles can be hard to pick up when aiming because they don’t glow the way they should and are often washed out by the environment. Look at Insurgency: Sandstorm for a good example.

AN/PEQ-15 is the military designation for the ATPIAL. Both refer to the same device. There are actually a few different versions of the ATPIAL in use, with the PEQ-15 being the standard model issued to regular troops. SOCOM has higher-powered variants referred to as the LA-5/PEQ (LA-5A/PEQ, LA-5B/PEQ, etc.).

While on the subject of the ATPIAL, it seriously needs to be a lot more visable when equipped on the pistol. I literally can’t even see it when using night vision and it makes it pretty useless for me if I ever decided to shot over the shoulder.

I play no hud so without the crosshairs the laser sight becomes a must if you ever want to engage a target using the over the shoulder perspective.

I kind of wish they would make this realistic. You cant use night vision through optics. You actually zero an infrared laser and use it to aim. They do make thermal optics. Maybe night vision, too.
