...but does anybody recognise this map from the feeble description?
Solo - Bounty Hunt
Clear sunny daytime weather.
One of the targets was a Yeti but it was trapped inside a circular building and you had to shoot it through holes in the wall to get it.
There was a raised flat-topped mound you had to grapple up to and it had a semi-hidden bunker hatch on the top.
I think one of the targets was up high, either on a Father Effigy statue, or a large bunker entrance maybe?
Pretty sure I played this around April / May possibly even June, but of course it could've been made before that.
It's bugging me that I can't find it as I've been combing through all the maps on the web site but I'm damned if I can find it.
Would be grateful for any suggestions. Thanks.
Thanks for the suggestion but sadly not. There's over a hundred Nuketown clones, the majority of them being Assault maps, a couple of them Journies and just one being a Bounty Hunt, called Nuketown 12055 - which isn't the one I'm after anyway. The Yetis are all running free in Nuketown 12055, but the one I'm after only has the one Yeti and it's trapped inside a circular building / tower thing. You never have to actually confront the beast, just shoot it through holes in the wall (which I think you have to shoot out / punch out in the first place). Though the Yeti isn't actually important, it's the hidden bunker bit I mentioned earlier that I'm really interested in.
The reason being is that I know for sure the hidden bunker has the walk-through floor I'm trying to find out about When you first lift up the hatch it looks like solid ground is filling the vertical shaft under the hatch, but you can in fact just drop straight through it. And there certainly are other maps with this type of thing (either a floor or a wall) as I know I've played them. Usually covering a stairwell that appears as solid ground but you can just go down the steps as normal, passing through this faux ground.
So really if anyone can point me to a map with a walk-through wall or floor that's what I'm really interested in. Not only do I want to see how it's done, but also to see if Ubisoft have patched it out now as it was a glitch of some sort or if you can still do such a thing.
