    Gladiator "rework"

    IIRC the last State of Balance had the Gladiator rather low on the list, despite the fact many players feel that the Gladiator is actually good.

    What does he need to be "fixed"?
    Remove his inability to counter GB on a blocked dodge (Bee's Sting) attack, a failed dodge shield bash (Sucker Punch) and a failed toe poke attack (Fuscinq Ictus).
    Increase his guard stance time to match that of the Shinobi.
    As a bonus, decrease the time to successful use the "Skewer" moves.
    The ability to faint heavy attacks.
    Haymaker feat to affect the "Sucker Punch" and "Cheap Shot" chains. (Perhaps it does but I haven't seen it in action.)

    These are all really minor changes and so I don't feel they would have to wait until all other changes have been done.

    I agree with being able to counter GB on blocked dodge attack. Not too sure on bash because it’s a bash. Toe stab definitely not. The nature of the move has to have a weakness. I think guard stance could use an increase.

    Don’t understand the skewer part.

    “Allow him to feint heavy attacks”... wut.

    Haymaker already affects those moves yes.

    Haymaker doesn't affect his shield bash attacked unless it's part of his zone. I've used them on numerous occasions against someone on virtually no health to zero effectm

    His skewer based attacks and combos are too slow. They need to be made quicker to be useful.

    Unlike normal characters he doesn't have a proper heavy attack feint so is force md to commit to them.

    So having the strongest and you could even argue operpowered zone in the game is acceptable purely because glads win rate isnt high?

    Starting the think releasing the win rates was a mistake lol people use them to justify broken moves!

    Broken Moves (are subjective, so here is my list):
    - All Cutscene's: Demon Embrace, Sickle Rain, Stampede, Impale, Crushing Charge, Centurion Cutscenes, Shaman Pred Mercy (at least it gets interrupted on Damage)
    - Shaman and Warlord throw distance
    - Highlander Kick / Grab
    - Highlander Dodge Recovery
    - Raider Zone / Chained Zone in 4v4
    - PK and Gladiator Zone
    - Nobushi recovery cancel

    All of them are annoying to face. Now you can argue that some of the moves are on Characters that are very low in the Winrates and / or "bad" concerning several Tier Lists. So concluding that one "broken" move should be nerfed does not balance the Character.

    Gladiator is weak. He is not overperforming in Duel or 4v4 concerning Winrate. If the one good move he has (which is dodgeable...) is nerfed he will be what, super-garbage Tier in 4v4?

    Imo all of those listed moves above should be tweaked / nerfed / reworked. But the Characters that have those moves should get something else for compensation, e.g. Gladiator should get better defense options (guard decay) and definitely the free GB after a blocked dodge attack should go away.

    Gladiator was poorly designed, he relies too much on those unblockable mixeup, whish work very well against heavy char with no side dodge attack, like warlord or aramusha, but become useless egainst the others. So he is effective only against the worst char (great!) and requiere low skill considering the spaming of light, then toe strikes ... he needs an overall rework just like many other char they seems to have forget (aramusha, warlord, lb, shugoki, shinobi, sham...) All of them need a rebalance, deep gameplay rework to be interesting and fit with the game but well... they prefer releasing 4 new char

    I mostly main glad, and while I agree about the skewer and GB, other than that I think hes pretty solid. I completely enjoy playing as him.
