How the hell do save files not work on this game? It's the easiest thing that has been possible for many, many years now, and somehow, it's messed up!?
Is this really happening?
I've tried every fix. I've tried making a new character, running around, doing a couple missions.
I've tried taking off Cloud Sync and verifying files. I've tried turning it back on and verifying files.
I've tried deleting my saves after backing up my save folder. I've tried, every, possible, 'workaround'.
It's been too long without a fix. How can Ubisoft do this? I BOUGHT the game. I should be able to PLAY IT WHERE I LEFT OFF LAST NIGHT!
Now that I've started a new save/character and ****, I'm afraid my old saves will be gone. If that is the case, I am 100% done with this game, and never, ever looking back.

I apologize if this seems like a venting post, but I'm legitimately out of ideas. I wanted to enjoy this game, and I was. But this happened and it just completely demoralized my motive to play.
Now that I've started a new character, it feels like my save that was further in the game is completely gone now.

Ever play Splinter Cell Conviction or Blacklist? Those save games were completely unreliable and you had to do some really obscure stuff to manually restore your saves. It's way too much. Wildlands' saves were fine up until this latest patch.
