Of all those I really only felt Media Luna Province and Fallen Ghosts were truly worthwhile. As you said Narco Road was silly arcade stuff that most didn't like, and the Inca Camina Province missions were too short and easy. In the end it really only serves as another good province to use for Tier point grinding.Originally Posted by non-exist-ent Go to original post
I think they could have done a LOT better on structuring the pricing and options on added content, including season and year two passes. I'm probably going to wait until support is done for the game to weigh whether I'll get a Year 2 pass or not. Only then will I have an idea of what I'll actually get with it.
I think what I liked best about Narco Road was Eddie and Arturo, I found the former genuinely hilarious (if utterly stupid) and the latter insanely badarse and scary.Originally Posted by Frag_Maniac Go to original post

It's not an amazing game by any means, in fact it's pretty one note. Play for a few hours of the PvE solo and you'll probably experience everything that part of the game has to offer. There's literally just one thing to do, which is kill narcos.
There isn't any real variety in missions, or side quests, because they all involve one of three things, killing something, driving/flying something, or escorting someone. There are not GTA style side activities at all, and there's not much to do aside from the main missions.
I enjoy it, but I'm a realist too. I can see the game for what it it.
In a tactical shooter, I consider that a good thing. Why would anyone want to compare a game like this to GTA V, even in style of side missions?Originally Posted by Halcyon Creed Go to original post
Because first and foremost GRW is an open world sandbox game, and GTA is the gold standard of open world games. And secondly, GTA did just about everything better, including tactical style missions, co-op, and even tactical clothing.Originally Posted by Frag_Maniac Go to original post
I'm just saying that GRW feels really empty. You just have this giant map and a ton of enemies, but that's it. Not many interiors, no real interaction with anyone outside of cutscenes, and then all the enemies are just copy/paste. To compare it to another Ubi franchise, Assassin's Creed; it's like if all the likability of the protaganists was removed, cities were 99% populated by guards, and you couldn't parkour, just add guns and you have GRW.

I don't know, I just have to face palm when anyone uses the word tactical to describe anything about GTA. I mean all the last one was is a arcade, acid trip, hissy fit between some of the least mature protagonists in gaming.Originally Posted by Halcyon Creed Go to original post
Then again, I only played the campaign, maybe the mp was better.
GTA as gold standard of open world games is where it's wrong and not supposed to be so. You're looking at a story driven game with draggy side missions, including pointless novelty side activities which after they're done, there's nothing. I'm surprised if anyone would use the buzzword 'empty open world' on any other games, except GTA, which for me as a more than decade-long GTA fan, GTA is the pinnacle of beautiful and pointless empty open world. No enemy and no engagement whatsoever unless you purposely look for trouble with authorities.Originally Posted by Halcyon Creed Go to original post
GRW has abundant of interior as well. So...
As for "GTA has better tactical mission.... and co-op"? Really? There's no tactics in GTA. Their missions are bunch of railcart objectives, especially in the HD era. All you do is just follow the structure, shoot upcoming enemy, deliver something, and mission passed. Even in Online co-op where the enemies are pretty much GRW's Tier One terminators.
Preference is preference, man. GRW is way far from perfect. Sure, GTA Online specifically has more military gear than GRW right now, which is a shame. But to judge and stamp that GTA ( and its Online) is better especially in terms of tactical gameplay and co-op, I think it just leaves the fact that you're way too biased right now.
