I rather like the Exosuit design. Wish it also had some gameplay aspect to it.
Had some ideas about that, inspired by the advancement system and real world application. They're more like a "effects of using the suit" not really the kinda things ppl expect.
Things like:
• Increasing accuracy (it's basically takes place of a tri-pod).
• Increasing stamina - you can run for much longer.
• Integrated scanner - New type of image enhancement, uses night vision and thermal vision in one mode, thermal sensor now outline heat sources in night vision. Magnification increased range. Increased threat indicator range (including lights up SAM's, etc.. beyond their acquisition range).
• Carry capacity increase by (up to) 400% - You can carry more ammo.
• Greater handling - Vibration dampening effect increases handling.
• Reduced Fall Damage - you can't fall from higher, but you suffer no damage from falling.
• 1 extra hard point - You can carry an extra firearm while wearing the suit.
• ECM suite - Hardened against electro-magnetic interference.
Skills, for this could work similarly as the drone. There could even be different suits that offer unique bonuses as partial or full sets.
Skills like:
• Muscle memory (4 lvls) - You are better accustomed to using the suit and it offers less restriction.
• ECM Stealth (2 lvls) - Reduced detection.
• EMP armour (4 lvls) - EMP attacks don't slow you down.
• Enhanced Scanner (4lvls) - Activates and increases the effects of Integrated Scanner (above). Including vs optic camo opponents (at max lvl).
• Carry Capacity (4 lvls) - up to 400% increased carry capacity.
• Dampener effect (2 lvls) - 50% - 100% increased handling, vehicles & weapons.
• [Gold skill] Team Sync - Sync shooting acquires & activates faster, Halves Cooldown (or more), as long as the whole squad is outfitted in Exo-suits.
Stuff like that, maybe? May also be a way to introduce favourite effects from past GR games like FS/AW/Phantoms, too.
