    Concerning the "toxicity" update

So i got suckered like many folks with the good ol "what's cartmans characters name in southpark". Whatever.

27 minute ban. First day back in a few months. Had no idea this was even a thing, and had to learn the hard way... Great community btw, a community who tries to get NEW PLAYERS who have no idea this is even a thing banned by answering dumb questions... Yeah, you totally won the fight on toxicity.... Not really... You just enhanced it to a whole new level.

Lemme just get this straight, this game is now a Christian minecraft game, where no friendly banter between friend, or foe, is allowed? Even in casual?

Good god man... Can somebody provide me with a list of "words" that should not be said? Because apparently you can't type certain COUNTRIES. You can't type things like "she hit" because it's somehow close to "sh!t". OR any other phrase that somehow comes close to swear words. What are we? 9 years old?

Ubi, if your going to use an automated system, provide us with a list of words you can't type. Obviously vulgar words and offensive words are a gimmie, of which i would never use. But you can't even type 2 words that somehow get combined by your system to equal a swear word. Ridiculous. Even if that was not your intention, just because you didn't look at what 2 words combines may or may not look like, you get punished...

Just... I'm really at a loss of words. My first experience back with this game in a few months, i waste 30 minutes of my time trying to play casual, and the lobbies crashing. Then the one lobby i actually get into that doesn't crash, i get banned for 27 minutes. What a great experience. 10/10 would never play again. I'm this close to uninstalling. I quit the game because of glitches and bugs, like Blitz being able to shoot through his damn shield. And invisible people walking around. And when i come back, it seems nothing has changed, and the servers are 20x worse than they already were. And now, there is a half assed censorship "anti- toxicity" system.

    Great game...

Since when are racist and homophobic slurs considered friendly banter?

As for being baited into saying a bad word, well, it's only a 27 minutes ban. You'll be able to play in 20 minutes and now you'll know not to take candy from strangers... oh sorry, I meant, answer random, non game related, questions from strangers.

Just remove the typing chat from the game. It is used for nothing but to get people banned now. Good job. You won the war on toxicity, by making the game even more toxic.

The real toxicity is how people play this game, like shooting a team mate to injure them, but not down or kill them, or by calling out FALSE calls.

But good job. You made chat unusable w/o risk of ban. Can't even compliment somebody by saying "good sh1t man", now you have to think like a 5 year old, and go, GOOD JOB DUDE. Whats this game rated for again? M for mature? or E for everyone?

And where exactly did i say that kind of slurs and words are friendly banter? no where. I did not say THAT IS ACCEPTABLE. i Clearly stated " Obviously vulgar and offensive words are a gimmie, and i do not use those words".

Read the whole post next time...

And since when does chat in a game have to be related to the game specifically? SINCE WHEN?!

It doesn't need to be only for in game information only but by using it for something else, you basically "spam" the only tool that people without a microphone can use to communicate. How can I see some important callouts or other information if you're discussing cheese, southpark or other things like that in the middle of a round.

The bans only targets racist and homophobic slurs so you're free to say F*** or good s*** as much as you want. You can write "she hit" all you want.

By the time I hit "post", your ban will have expired. You've already learned your lessons not to answer random questions from strangers. Seriously, you can chat with other people all you want but you're telling me not a single cell in your brain thought it was odd that someone would ask you a southpark question out of nowhere?

Just Google "homophobic or racial slurs" and you'll probably get a list that covers 99.9% of Ubisoft's list, if not more.

PS: Yes, I read everything you said but I didn't felt like I needed to write a 5000 words dissertation to address every single word you typed to get the point across.

Damn you sound just like the useless community representative. The system is ****, what is racist in one country is not in another. Spanish players cannot type black now cause of triggered little snowflakes. Maybe google a map of the world and realise there are more then just Americans in it?

To put it simply, there are 3 reasons to talk in game: coordinating attack/defense, giving call-outs, or congratulating a teammate on a good play/attempt. If you're not doing one of those 3 things, there's no need to talk. If you ARE doing one of those 3 things, you're unlikely to trigger any disciplinary action. If you want to talk about other non-game-related crap, there are countless social media outlets for that.

@Morfanos, you are not telling the truth, i just wrote *** and got a ban for that

so before you spread out things, give it a try to confirm it.

@Dank-Clouds, i am totally with you, this game is being more catholic than the pope himself. Totally nonsens to blame it to racists, sexual or homophobic.
IF UBI thinks that this is not allowed in game now they should ban all here on the forum who use words which are censored here. Or censor in game instead of banning gamers who have a bad round/day or whatever and have to let some steam off.

Funny, I'm neither American nor is English my native language and I still have zero problem with the bans.

I do happen to speak some Romance language including French and Spanish and I am aware of the issue the word "black" in those languages can have. I agree that it's completely stupid for those languages to have normal everyday words be removed because they have different meaning than they have in English. This system is less than perfect in those cases and I hope they fix it soon.

You have a good understanding of English is seems, so I'm sure you can avoid the bad words that means different things in other languages while they fix that.
