    Beginner builds suggestion

Hi guys. I’ve recently reached lvl 30 and I’m a bit overwhelmed by he different gear sets etc.
I don’t like pvp and only play solo and pve. Could you suggest a couple of good beginner builds.
I have also read online that people tends to have more than one character at lvl 30. What are the advantages of that? And do I have to go through all the story/missions again?
    Thanks very much.

Each character give you 120 extra slot storage space ,yes you have to do level 30 with each character.. As for builds not sure what you have collected ? Nomad is a good place to start, Most gear sets are good in pve/ LZ but not so in pvp DZ.

    Hello,

With extra characters, as hyper--sniper explained, you have extra bag space. If your stash isn't already full, it will be soon, and the extra storage space in extra characters bags comes in real handy. Another benefit is that, there are some things for good loot that can only be done once a day or once a week on a character. Such as High Value Targets, or daily and weekly quests. Extra characters can give you the opportunity to these more than once a week/day. Your stash is shared amongst all your characters, so you can freely trade weapons and gear collected between your characters, as well as stuff like weapon parts and division tech etc. The down side is that yes, you will have to level the character from scratch.

As for builds. At this point, it's probably best to just try and gather as many parts for any gear set of choice. If you like gun play, you can't go wrong with striker, nomad or predator. Tacticians if you like skills like seeker mines and sticky bombs. Reclaimed if you like healing. D3FNC if you like a big riot shield to tank damage. Deadeye or hunters faith if you like sniping. Just collect as many pieces as you can, mix and match if you have to until you gather all 6 parts for one. Classified gear is the top end versions of gear sets. You can then optimise. Honestly it would probably be overwhelming to talk about optimising at this point with division tech and recalibrating. There's no hurry. You'll pick it up as you go. Choose what weapons you like. Eventually once you feel like you're hitting a knowledge wall, check out youtube channels. I can reccommend Marcostyle's videos. Just find one on the topic you're interested in learning about.

That's not exactly a beginner set.

I'm in agreement with Clar1ty- in that most sets are just fine for PvE. Actually, ALL of them are, they just require a play-style to match them. To add to their excellent suggestion, I'll note that Sentry's Call also makes an interesting sniper build, Firecrest is great for crowd control if set up properly, and mixing basic gearsets gets a whole lot easier with the Ninjabike Backpack.

One thing I would add is that it's good to flat-out ignore the Optimization Table until one finds a piece of equipment that would be used forever. Ie, don't bother optimizing stuff like non-classified gear, gear pieces that don't have the exact skills one wants, weapons that aren't 256+ that have the exact talents one wants and that are the exact specific weapon one wants, etc. It's rather a waste of Division Tech, and unnecessary to succeed in PvE.

I mean, if you have a TON of D-tech and don't mind farming it later, go crazy, but otherwise...

Knowledge is king. Start learning about each set and their capabilities, advantages, and disadvantages. Learn about weapon talents and how those talents play into your build. Learn about mods and what they do for gear and weapons. Learning this first (I didn’t) will help you understand the gear as you acquire it, and you will acquire a lot. All that knowledge will allow you build decent sets and modify them to improve them. It seems like a big pain at first to try and figure it all out. But, once you do, it’s actually fun to play around with your gear, weapons and mods. Keep this, cull that, try that...

I would not worry about extra toons until you have played a bit with the character you have just leveled. Build yourself a good gold build until you can collect at least 4 matching green non classified or classified if your lucky. As mentioned Nomad is good and learn the LZ boss run as it is a pretty good place to pick up gear/weapons. Plenty of info on this site and utube.

Youtube is where most go and get their copy/paste loadouts, or you can not be a sheep and experiment like I do. You may die alot(also like I do) but you may learn things as well, like 10k stamina means nothing in the dz against striker..

It purely depends on your play style as to what's good for you gear set wise. I personally love pred, get your 10 shots in, get that 9k stam bleed on them and retreat to flip round and hit another 10 etc. Great for rogue chasing. I like facetanking too so i have a nomad and a couple of hybrids for that.

Striker is great for pve and unsurprisingly it's great in pvp too. Its the current meta. The next global event is juat round the corner on monday so maybe hit that.

If you want to pvp, get striker, pred, nomad, a ninja bike backpack, barrets chest piece and some savage gloves.

Pve you can more thsn likely make any build you want work for you. I used to love nomad for it, used to run a few hybrids with the talents i wanted to solo great.

Personally, id choose what you want to run, run the global event anyway, and wqtch some youtube vids on how to make your build for tips on what you're looking for, what kind of things to roll etc
