I play as an orochi and a raider is doing an unbreakable/unstoppable charge, carries me on his shoulder to throw me down. Why is my stamina drained while I am carried? It makes no sense. If he ever manages to land that attack while my stamina is close to 50%, it guarantees that by the time he drops me he will leave me exhausted.
On a separate matter (although somewhat close), when someone is doing an unbreakable charge, I believe my only option is to dodge it. I've seen people cancel that charge into a guard break. What can I do, because that catches me mid-dodge? The only option I see is to release the guard mode.. but it feels that it is not an intended action. Can I react to guard break mid-dodge and I just haven't timed that properly yet? Dodging backwards when someone is doing a charge doesn't seem like an option either, since some characters can hold the button down to charge a bit longer.
The Raider has the ability to drain your stamina as he carries you away. A similar technique is used by Warlord, but he will not drain your stamina. Making sense or no, that is just how these characters are designed.
Also, you can interrupt both the incoming charge and a cancel to GB by light attacking. If you play Orochi you can try Riptide strike, ZA, dodge-LA or just back + LA. You have some really great tools to get out of this.
Heh, good catch. Glad I am the only one who thinks that is kinda awkward /stupid, but I don't see developers making that little more "realistic" . For instance, Raider using more of his own stamina to perform that move, and target being stunned for a shor moment because someone just throw you on the ground? I don't know, something like that.
A well timed shoulder bash could collapse the diaphragm or even a fall so there are two scenerios that in reality would cause a "stamina drain" or knock the wind out of you...its perfectly realistic considering raider has honed this into a battle technique and his physic.
Now is it realistic with armor? Depends on allot more factors. Even in American football a good tackle can knock the wind out of someone even when they have "armor" on. Note that raider is a master of the technique...the best of the best. Still though heavy chain mail and metal armor created to absorbe and dispence impact force would be a good defense against his technique but because the torso has to be free to maneuver it all becomes ify...Like a car rolling down a hill without a rollbar installed it all depends on the force of the impact how messed up the internal passengers get.
