Skill Points & Resources - Store

I noticed you can now purchase skill points and resources from the store! For me personally this is a great idea however I have a question!?

When you purchase them are they 1 time use only or if you started a new game would the same points you purchased be available again?

    that is a good question.

I wont buy such a thing but i am curious to know as well, just how scheme this idea is, because if you play Ghost mode and can purchase a skill point that will be available to you every time you start GM than that makes a lot more sense for the consumer, than money down the drain in a mode where you lose your purchase and real money.

Yeah, I'd hope it'd be like buying a weapon or accessory pack where the items are always available to you every new game.

If so I might go for that because it would contribute to, as I've described before, my preference as a Ghost to set foot in country already well equipped and trained as an elite operator backed by the world's most powerful military would be, more immersive that way.

If it's a one time boost in resources and skills on one toon though? Nah.

I hope you are right but, they could just have added the option cause of Ghost mode so, could just be an option to allow people that is willng to spend money to have an easier ghost mode at start since they could potentially have all skill. If is like this is almost like a pay2win LOL

Someone else on this forum had an even better idea that Ghost mode should be like new game plus and let you start at level 30 with all skills filled out. Like Fallen Ghosts.

Fallen Ghosts was a much greater challenge than the vanilla campaign, so it seemed appropriate. Now we have this permadeath main campaign where the stakes are even higher.

Would be much better if it was a newgame+ but since you start from scratch, that way they can sell you skill points and resources on the store =P

Hopefully someone from Ubi will answer and hoping it's like the weapon packs and reusable!

Yeah, would be nice to always start the game with some basic skills sorted. Like parachutes and IR vision.

Though it will still be an obstacle that like two thirds of skills can't be acquired until a certain level.

So really a newgame+ sort of thing is the real answer if you want to have a less "gamey" experience and milsim a pro operator from boots down.

well i want to start a new game using the new solo mode in Extreme mode to give me a real challenge, the skills and resources from the store at the start of game would give me a fighting chance but if we couldn't use them again in a new game it would make me think twice about buying them as was already mentioned its a lot of money down the drain otherwise!!

Yeah, Narco Road is also solo unless you coop, and there you at least start off at level 20 with most skills filled in and max "rebel" skills (except they are SB since you're undercover in SB).

I understand and respect the RPGish traditions of character levelling, but I really just want the gameplay itself to be uniformly interesting and challenging no matter what and have my operator start at the top of her game.

More immersive that way, I think.
