    Where did we go wrong?

Hey everyone, I think I can say for most that there have been mixed reactions to the new operation. There are some serious issues that need to be addressed/were not addressed in the update. So let me play the part of the naive consumer: Ubi you talk a big foucking* game about your community response. Lets say you guys honestly tried your hardest. Is it us? Where did we go wrong? What part of the communication process can be improved. You talk about communication, well I take it you've studied it, that includes discourse in the modern models-which means back and forth. Help us help you. What can we do to help? How has our feedback produced this and how can we make it more effective? What was the thought process behind adding steampunk weapons and cosmetics when all we asked for was simple shotguns and customization to weapons already in the game? How can we move forward in a more constructive way? How can we make it so the next update doesn't make similar mistakes? Will there be a update soon after to fix some of the major issues? These are the questions I would like answered instead of filler questions. If your genuine about feedback and discourse with your fan base then prove it. Lets not just bash the game, but come out with serious feeback(yes I know I posted a meme a couple hours ago lay off)

when you talk about communication, you are talking about the Community Managers who... ive dealt with in many other games, ive seen their academic achievements.. and kinda get the impression that you clearly think that this is little more than a "bully post"... fact of the matter is, they pass all our suggestions (those of us who earnestly reply to their requests for info) to the dev team and someone higher than the CMs does the work of prioritizing said items. be careful with whom you cast salt on, its not the "communication team"... its "you clearly have no idea how much time and energy has to be alotted to make stuff happen" in a shop where this aint the only title they are working on!

I don't doubt the hard work necessary to implement changes, nor do I think I ever did, furthermore i never meant to make this a bully post and I am not sure what gave you that impression. Perhaps you are decoding my critique as attacks on community managers. I am very much NOT. I'm just confused about why they put their energy into certain things and not others. I am not trying to cast salt on community managers, but if they are simply one way paths of transmission, thats not really effective communication. Me pointing out models of communication was simply meant to re-enforce the argument that discourse obviously requires back and forth. Not to cast doubt on their credentials. "I'll pass it on to the dev team" seems to be the most we have gotten. All I am trying to do is make the communication communication and not simply a recommendations board.

I think there is a difference between communication and simply listening, and that communication is often more effective- all I'm saying. If you think thats me trying to flame them then we have drastically different concepts of flaming or "bully"ing as you say. Perhaps I should ask this: Has the interaction from ubi the past 3 months exhibited effective communication? And if so, does this most recent update represent 100% effective communication that cannot be improved upon? Are there no faults that could not be aided by better communication? If you answered no to any of those questions, is my request for better "communication" not justified? If you answered yes to all of those and think they executed this perfectly and did not miss any obvious issues, then we have genuine differences in opinions.
