I don't get why you guys endure such crap?

Is the problem mainly with the matching of players you want to play with or time to get into a game?
Friendly fire is not a new concept and its purpose is not usually about killing your teammates but simply to add a level of tension, immersion, realism and consequence to the gameplay (for those looking for that experience). To make players think before shooting.

In all honesty, yes, it can be abused by griefers in games. .....even with penalties levied on the offender griefing can still happen.

Having said that, in a game like GRW I don't even consider playing with randoms. My experience was mixed even in the core gameplay with some players being rude, toxic, etc. IMO, it's easy enough to vet players and partner with those that you know will not be an issue. In that environment (playing with friends), FF can be a fun feature that reinforces the need to communicate, coordinate movements and tactics.

Being one that had advocated for FF since the beginning, I will say that it was always suggested as an OPTION and not something that should be forced on players. I don't necessarily agree with Ubi's direction (big surprise) on this new mode. In fact, all of these requested features have always been suggested as options by most to be implemented in the core game.

As an option, I think FF is fine as those who don't wish to use it simply don't have to turn it on.

For those playing Ghost Mode in co-op, my suggestion is to find some friends that you can hook up with rather than relying on randoms. In all honesty, I don't see how it's any surprise that this would be the result when playing with people you never met given the experiences many of us have shared with each other up to this point (in GRW or GW for that matter). It was bad before in the main game. ......surprise, it's even worse now that they can kill you with no recourse.

As options, none of this stuff would have been a problem in the main game and I'm sure would have been appreciated by those who had been requesting such features (FF, ammo management, lone wolf, one primary and even permadeath).

That's why I don't play with randoms. The best is playing with friends or family.

If there were moderators or server rules that would be different story.

Sorry, even as a single player I know about the concept of FF and I also would love to have it even though, IIRC, sometimes the teammates deserved to be killed... All kidding aside, I don't know how or why it is still ok for the devs to program teammate ai to walk ahead of you when you are about to snap the head out of an enemy... worse when you just pulled the pin of your grenade, are about to loft it and bam, blob mate blocks the entrance at the door

But I digress... my point or the question rather was because of what Carolina Frog posted initially... specifically the part in bold and underscore... perhaps in hindsight, he meant it as sarcasm but I thought that kids were going on a killing spree because the reward for simply playing the game was the Exo Suit

Perhaps he meant that they would be fighting to get the reward first by killing off their teammates. It's not a reward for killing your teammates.

I'm still a bit confuse... you get a reward for killing (that I would understand) but you also get the same reward or points towards the reward for killing a teammate? I would have thought you would get penalized or get your points deducted when that happen.

You know what Kean, I appreciate you trying to explain it to me, I really do but I don't want to hijack the thread more than I have, more so because when I hear things like this, it fuels my fire NOT to even try PvP because I don't want to waste time trying this
