The ban wave is only for boosted people, those people i was not worried about, cause they where probally bad players anyway who needed someone to boost them to a higher rank.
Its ok they are gone dont get me wrong i take any little help i can get, but i am more curious of the second wave if thats ever gonna happend in my life time that whould hopefully be for those using hacks of all sorts.
They went after the boosting service cause they where probally making more money of that service than the ubisoft art department in charge of making sun-flower weapon skins.
I dont understand the way people see this. Theyre not banning people boosted by cheaters but sending a message to anyone that thinks about paying for boosting that its no longer safe to do that. If you cut off cheaters from their money source (which is people trying to impress gals with their rank in siege apparently) then it wont be that profitable to do this. I expect another wave of cheaters incoming or some other info about the whole situation, cause we didnt even have an official statement from Ubisoft, but I'm gonna take it with the grain of salt as always. The ban wave is only for boosted people, those people i was not worried about, cause they where probally bad players anyway who needed someone to boost them to a higher rank.

If you take away their revenue first some of them will get desperate and its easier to get them as well as other hackers will probably find a new game to use their services. Sure the ones doing it just to be jerks will stay but that's a much smaller pool than the whole.Originally Posted by Celron_Miles Go to original post
We are in year 3 and they are still doing a **** job dealing with hackers, why would you pat them on the back. Imagine hiring someone to do a job and after 3 years they can barely manage to do that job, you'd fire them. Hackers can LITERALLY teleport across the map into spawn/site 1 sec into the round and not get an immediate and permanent ban.
Yet ubisoft deserve praise.... come on! Don't praise them for mediocrity. We paid/pay money, they should do their bloody jobs.
While it's true that I think the issue was largely ignored for far too long, I will also say that you simply can't just implement controls against hackers. Computer code can be changed, plain and simple. They put a patch in for one thing, and a hacker comes up with something else. It's a never-ending battle. I do hope they continue to combat it, and severely punish those that hack. Were I them, I'd sue for copyright infringement on top of everything else, for someone changing and using their intellectual property without authorization.
