No way it's as idiotic as only in T1 because there is a hard ceiling for that - 15000PC.
And since it's not through normal play (AS IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN!) than it might be the stupid weekly challenges that might come after this week.
Thanks for Clarification!Originally Posted by Kane_sg Go to original post
So it's another Fail that we can get Items from that Crates we already own.
That's in fact even more ridiculous and exaggerating than the Lootbox itself. I wish my Hand was big enough for the Facepalm this deserves.
Wow. I got all excited thinking Ubisoft was actually doing something good for a change. Boy was I wrong.
Turns out these prestige crates are nothing more than a devious plan to make it look like they give a damn, while still hiding the good **** behind about $80 bucks worth of spec ops crates.
Prestige crates are useless. Nothing but a decoy. Don't waste your time. I just watched a guy on YouTube open about 50 prestige crates, and he only got two, count'em TWO whole new items, and both of those were useless *** patches. He only had 7 items left to unlock, but finally gave up after wasting so much time unlocking one. got. damm. item. at. a. time.
It's obviously set up to just keep repeating items to make sure you don't get anything decent for free.
Ubisoft. All the thanks and good will I expressed to you earlier is completely gone. Thanks for making a fool of me. Turns out you're every bit as crooked, dirty, and lazy as Rockstar.
Okay...so...please don't yell at me...but maybe consider giving the PvP a try? I play with members of my task force sometimes, but often it's just me jumping into quickplay matches with randoms, and it's still pretty fun even if your team is disorganised and uncommunicative and dies a lot.
Not as fulfilling overall as the PvE in my opinion but definitely quite diverting. I'm utterly terrible at it even, but that just makes me all the more joyous when I manage to land a great headshot or get some unsuspecting trout with a well placed mine.
Once you prestige the first time in PvP you can buy yourself a prestige crate every 4 levels or so (since you get 110 prestige credits per level), so that means every 72-73 levels you can get a free Spec Ops or Ghost War crate from that new counter thingie to get at those new items. Not to mention you can fill out your collection of old items by opening prestige crates or---if you have them all---build up regular store credits if you get duplicates so you can buy something else you like in the main store after a bit.
Levelling up in PvP doesn't take too long, normally just 2-3 good matches (where you win and/or do a lot of actions contributing to victory---kills, spots, revives, whatever---earning XP) or like 4-5 crappy matches.
Overall whether you go about it via PvE or PvP the new system is a bit of a grind, yeah, but it's nice to now have the permanent ability now to generate store credits and acquire new crate items without spending any terran currency. All you have to do is play a game you love a lot. ))))
^^^I just covered that. Prestige crates are nothing but a decoy, a distraction, a dirty underhanded trick. Useless. Waste of time trying to get them.
EDIT: and btw screw PvP. Online gaming is the downfall of gaming. It's what started all this greedy exploitation of gamers. I refuse to contribute to the problem.
Welp, between tiering to 17 in PvE (about 11K credits) and playing PvP to nearly the top of prestige 5 (about 40K credits) I had enough to buy 40 prestige crates and keep a few thousand aside as I debate whether to unlock the new PvP classes (8K each) or buy more crates.
Those 40 prestige crates gave me nearly 800 credits in the store and four Spec Ops crates via that 20 counter thingie, and those all had decent stuff including a couple of vehicles---though not your elusive SB armoured pickup---and I think all the new helmets and some emotes and such. Decent mix anyway.
I might use those new store credits to buy a magazine accessory pack since this update deleted a whole bunch of previously unlocked magazines (and attachments and compensators and such) from a lot of people's toons. If that's a permanent problem, hell with it, I insist on always being able to use my standard fit weapons with all the mods I want (including 30 round P mags) at level 1 of a new campaign. I am an elite operator, my sense of immersive demands I set foot in country with my choice of equipment!
But theoretically I could keep going and generate 2600 credits after tiering some new toons in PvE or prestiging in PvP and even buy that R6 pack with the HK416 that I am like 100% sure Ubisoft will fix given the outcry about its lack of short barrel and bad sights and such.
Or generate 4000 store credits and buy a 10 + 1 pack of Spec Ops crates to get a larger number of new items.
Basically never need to spend terran currency in the store ever again, just keep playing the game. Works for me.
On the bright side as long as you keep playing---which hopefully you'd be doing anyway---you will eventually inevitably get that SB armoured pickup you want, it's a mathematical certainty.
So that's something, I guess.
(Oh, also is the paintjob important? There's an armoured pickup of the same chasis as the SB with an Andean art paintjob in the Inca vehicle pack you can buy in the store straight away, no fuss if performance what you're after.)
Ok, I know I am in the minority, but I really don't agree with the critique here.
1. Prestige points are basically for free for playing the game and they have a chance of unlocking a good deal of the outfits/items.
2. For 20 prestige boxes you get a spec ops or ghost box with additional 3 items - those don't even have doubles as far as i know.
3. It makes sense that Tier 1 gives its points only once - since the amount of items is actually not as big as it sounds. 100 items? Guess what, by finishing Tier 1 you already get 30+ chances to get them. Now with Ghost Mode and PvP (which I don't play) you probably will be around 100 boxes that you can earn and unlock.
4. Previous weekly rewards from challenges unlocked another bunch of items and keep adding spec ops/ghost war boxes...
I understand the frustration for those who want the icons, but honestly the amount of items released since Fallen Ghost is high and that's a huge workload that Ubisoft has to pay. As little as I appreciate their store prices (I will never defend those), there is very little I can say about these prestige boxes and free unlocks. So far I've bought the Spec Ops Ghost pack and now the Rainbow Six pack and I still have dozen of free unlocks from challenge rewards and now today's 30 boxes I've opened (about 10 were doubles so I just got credits for them) that all costed me nothing. The wast majority of items I have were for free (besides paying for the game itself), so I see absolutely no reason for an outrage. There are far bigger issues that anger me.
