Well, since the first Friendly Fire in PvE suggestion first popped-up in this General Discussion, I was always against it because of the potential grieving.
However, though, so far I know we haven't had anything that can instantly kill another player yet. So when someone purposely kill you, quickly enter Lobby menu, report player for grieving or equivalent, then quit the game.
Just like as advertised and said by Ubi-Alien: as cheesy as it sounds, Ghost Mode is for elite Ghosts and so carefully pick your trusted team.
Again, even without Friendly Fire feature, I have run across sh*thead who C4-ed teammate on purpose. Hence why I never agreed with any sort of friend-attack feature in a co-op game. But it is what it is.
We sure have a bigger pit now in this regard, but don't just stand there. F*cking look around and build a bridge instead. And so I implore everyone to back up your (Ghost Mode) save file regularly and quit the session before you are marked as KIA. Considering this is a PvE game, your saved data are saved locally and unless Ubi is a tryhard to make you lose, then normally game wouldn't regard you as dead if you're not dead.
That’s a good idea. I agree that Permadeath has potential if there are some compromises. This is a huge game after all. They may have made a compromise, like only saving the progression, once you kill Buchon. if you die before you kill a proovinces' Buchon everything in that province resets. Tha way deaths are still punishing, without being so hard that it will drive people away from the Mode.
Ideas so far are:
Game only saves after you kill a buchon
Only character progression is lost, not mission progression
Permadeath is a NG+ option so you don’t have to worry about XP or going round collecting weapons and attachments again, just main missions.
Too bad the single-player only crowd is screwed over when the Team A.I. Does not work properly.Originally Posted by sgtsmithki Go to original post

Yes, I know players have been asking for options to make the game harder, since launch. Things like removing the HUD, having no secondary weapon, realistic ammo tracking, and weapon swapping. But the key word was options, so they could be used to main the main harder and more realistic. First they allowed us to remove the HUD. then they gave us tier One mode. I mean would you imagine if you dropped all the way to tier 50, every time you died? But I do not recall anyone ever begging for a completely separate mode, where you lose everything, when you die? Unless the devs have a complete and utter misunderstanding of what a New Game+ means.
