Hey guys

What do you think about the possibility to make servers (PVE) dedicated to players that plays the game on extreme mode with no HUD. I enjoy this immersive playstyle very much when others are doing the same, but not when everyone else on the server are playing on another difficulty and with HUD.

What do you think?

Either ask them to put on the same difficulty or plan it when playing with friends. They won't add a different Co-op mode

Agreed. I don't see this happening.

I would suggest finding a Task Force or group of like-minded friends you can play with. When I was active, that's what I did.

This doesn't even need dedicated servers. P2P with enforced host settings would do it.

I always though forced, global settings based on the host was a good idea. As it is, everyone has to agree on a particular configuration which can be a bit of pain to set up at times. ....and yeah, it helps keep everyone honest if that's a concern.

The difficulty level is already set like this (which was patched in from what I remember) so they would just need to do the rest.

I'm sure there would be a big backlash though from some of the community (namely those who randomly join groups and don't like being forced into specific settings).

Searchable and filters comes to mind, kean. Simple quality of life functions in multiplayer gaming that I am bemused would even be considered for removal. GR used to do this and I can not fathom the logic in removing such features!

this, like the "language+mic" matchmaking options were a huge miss for ubi! on the other side of your coin, im so tired of the Extreme no HUD crowd simply cause improperly planned attacks fail so miserably

I totally agree with you that having like-minded friends to play with is the key here, Therefore I´ve "threatened" some of my buddies to pick up this game, especially now it´s on sale. I tell them that they get a hell of a lot for the money.

With Special Operations 2 launched just hours after my post, Ghost mode may be the thing I´ve been hoping for and it sounds very promising. A lot of praise to the developers.
