Both players need to use pc to chat, it doesn't matter if you're on at the same time as long as both of you can send a message. I've been trying to get the headset since the game released and finally got it today for me and my wife. It may take a few tries because the system itself is BS AND unreliable as a source of communication. I hope they NEVER tie another collectible behind their ****ty web design.😒👎
