    WTH just happened?

    1. I am not the greatest at PvP in the DZ. I am that guy that can usually take a rogue down to the last little bit of health, but the guy kills me. I don't usually get totally wiped unless there is a group.
    2. I have read about the hacks and the cronus stuff, but I try and give people the benefit of the doubt.
    3. I am playing in the DZ more now because I am trying to chip away at a few of the commendations I have left in there and it is something different than running 10 missions (really need to change that up)

Tonight, my brother and I are getting totally wiped by 1 player. He was using a showstopper, but it didn't even seem like I was getting hit and I would be down and then my brother would drop. We could do no damage to the guy and when we died there was no notification of the weapon we were being downed by. Was he cheating or could it have been something else? I was getting melted before I could even get a box out or use a medkit...

From past ''experiences'' when i didn't get notification of the weapon that downed me, it was due to rpm glitch caused by loadout switch. Like meathead_79 asked, what platform are you on?

The weapon not showing up does seem suspicious.

Without that, it could be you had the misfortune of running into someone who already had 100% Striker stacks. It has been my experience -- even with 580K toughness -- that once in the area of 100%, these guys eat damage like it's nothing (and it looks like nothing because they're healing so quickly) and can kill so quickly it can appear to be magic, especially if there's a little lag happening.

PS4...it might have been lag, but it was crazy fast for sure...

Yoda and I recently took on someone on Xbox1 who was clearly using striker with an AR, and it seemed to us we were getting killed in one or two short bursts. Now, the dude was coming off of fighting NPC's every time (he got both of us, twice, REALLY fast).

It's possible he was using Cronus to get the headshots and stability while keeping his crit chance and damage high. MAAAAYBE there was some kind of glitch being used as well (eg: RPM burst, where a 'short burst' was actually a LOOOONG one due to the amount of bullets actually fired). Don't know.

He also ate damage like it was broccoli, which I attributed to A - us being downed so fast, and B - Striker at 100% for that extra-healing goodness. -_-

yeah, a lot of people have kind of forgotten about Cronus and thats the exact problem with Striker. ITs so much more powerful than everything else its now hard to tell but yall dont be fooled, there are more Cronus users now than there were a few months back. They have done nothing to eliminate that issue and its quite prevalent and will only remain to get worse, never better.

He may have been cheating, but he also exhibited some player skillz. It was his ability to eat bullets and take almost no damage, not even from bleed. Considering he only dropped his heal box once and it never looked like he stopped to heal except for the heal box.

No question the dude was GOOD, hence me wondering 'Cheat? Or just max-Striker-stacked and really good?'

    Got me.

I do know that when at 9K stamina (or even 6K), the healing from a 100% Striker is just ridiculous. Picture someone with ~600K (9K Striker) toughness, getting back 17% health every second. That's 100K health back per second. O_O

It's not as bad as that for a 6K build (less toughness, so only 12% healing per second at max), but even that's close to getting the Nomad's Heal On Kill for every second someone sits at 100%! Works out to ~400K toughness for Stamina 6K (or something like that), which means 48K health back every single second.

    Yeesh.

Throw on top of that the fact that the 6K Striker at 100% is wrecking everything it shoots in short order, and...I mean, I don't think I even put my bleed on the guy, he just killed me too fast. Would have been interesting if I had (though he would have just hit a medkit), just to see.
