This will be me ranting about the amateur design ****-ups For Honor's developers made while making this game. Why am I so mad? Problems in the combat system are legitimate problems that come up because the devs don't really know what they're doing since they're not the best at making games, and that's okay. Even if they wanted to, these problems are now embedded so deep within how the game functions it would be impossible to fix these issues - the only option would be to moderate them through peripheral tweaks.
But this? Screwing up basic UI design? It's something I would expect from an unfinished game or an indie title, not a game I paid 60 ****ing dollars for. This is just ****ing insulting to me and to anyone else that paid for this game.
Here goes.
Whenever someone disconnects it completely covers up the chat. Make it show up literally anywhere else.
When you start a match the models and player names and info are connected in absolutely the worst way possible. Seriously? Just floating in negative space? That was your best attempt? Do this better.
You're completely locked out of every single option while searching for a game. Can't check orders, can't check group member info or even talk to the group members. This can't be hard to do, therefore you should do it.
You're not asked if you want to start a new game. Ticking 'ready' only makes the game start faster, and I'm assuming Ubi added this because this is what other games of this sort do while completely ignoring the actual reason that feature is there - checking for AFK players. Change this already.
Way too much ****ing HUD on the screen, especially in games like Dominion. I died on more than one occasion because I couldn't see anything through the wall of that uninspired clear UI design Ubi is ****ing in love with. If you like the streamlined design so much, why is the screen so ****ing cluttered? Stop being lazy and fix this.
You can't see or type in chat when the game loads in a new match in games like Duel, and during cutscenes in Dominion. Why? This is such a simple quality of life fix and you refuse to do it because you're lazy. You used to be able to type throughout the entire match if you so desired, but now you have to pause until the screen goes back into the regular game. Change this back you bunch of amateurs.
Picking characters with a mouse is clunky and just feels terrible. It's a mother ****ing selection screen in a Triple-A game. How do you **** this up? And even if you do **** it up, why don't you ****ing fix it? This issue is also there with choosing the level of bot AI and the type of loadout you want. Feels like you hired interns to do these things and never checked on them.
Locking in your character takes 4 clicks. Why? One click for choosing the character, sure. A second for choosing your loadout, of course. A third for checking if you're ready. And then a fourth for checking if you're sure you're ready? Just remove the fourth needless button press.
These are all the issues that I can remember off the top of my head. There are probably many more. **** you too, Ubisoft.
I would agree with you, if you weren't such a ***** about it. You sound like a ****ing *******. Get off your high pedestal and be constructive. You're being condescending to make it so you are obviously right and the devs are always ****ing wrong. How about rewrite your complaints in a better way than being an entitled *****. Stop commanding. And some of these complaints aren't even worth or even a problem. Loading in default poses in the air? Who gives a ****? Too much HUD? What are you talking about? The HUD is so minute and minimal. Not typing between loading screens and cutscenes? They're called loading screens for a god damn reason. I agree on 2. Queue, No Options and Disconnect covering chat, but everything else isn't even an issue or a problem with other players., and HUD updates aren't currently on their entree plate right now, and I don't think you know how things work in development, so sit down, stop being a condescending *****, and be a better complainer.
You'd agree with me anyway if you really did agree. I'm a **** about it because these are insulting. I am entitled to these things because I paid (honestly, overpaid) for the game, and both you and I deserve the best product the developers can offer, and these fixes are something the devs can easily give us.
The Devs might not be always wrong, but they sure are ****ing bad at they're jobs sometimes considering them being professionals.
I'm not going to argue with your other points, because the counter arguments are already in my first post and they're also basically trivializations of my complaints, which I also explained. Read it again, or whatever.
