Cockpit view to dark and FOV too low.

    Hi!
I really enjoy TC2 and as always with racing games I drive in the cockpit view. The cockpit view is pretty good overall in TC2, but 2 things I would like the developers to fix are that it's a bit to dark and a FOV slider. It feels like the windows have a dark tint to them, this is not really the case on real cars if you don't have tinted windows of course.

The world in general is a lot darker when you are driving in the cockpit view, which takes away a bit of the enjoyment and it also makes it harder to see when you drive at sunset/night and in general.

I would really appreciate if the developers would add a option to turn off the window tint to have it the same or almost the same level of brightness as on the hood view/rest of the camera angles.

Also the FOV is a bit to low if you play on only 1 monitor. A FOV slider for the cockpit view would be a very nice addition. And some people may think the FOV is to high so the option to change it would be perfect.

Do you guys feel the same way and would you like them to fix/add these options to the game?

Yeah excatly. A FOV slider and a fix for the dark cockpit view would really make a big difference I believe.

Unfortunately this is an issue which has been raised untold amount of times but still, as of yet, no feedback from the devs at all, the headlights in general is a big problem, especially in the more rural areas of the map, I get the feeling this may turn out to be an issue that will not get fixed, especially seen as this is a problem that has existed since TC1 with no attempt whatsoever to resolve it.

Can we also add that the mirros don't work? I dont understand why a racing game would have unsuable rear mirrors? How else am I supposed to make sure I stay ahead?

Again, a problem that has been carried over from TC1, by not having mirros it is allegedly to help with frame rates and such, not sure how that is the case, when literally every other car racing title does not have a problem with it, even TDU2 had working mirrors and that was over 7 years ago, not sure why it is a problem now after all this time and even more so a problem that seems to be exclusive to Ivory Tower/Ubisoft???

Yes I agree. The headlights are really dim. This is a problem even with the outside view, but when you are in the cockpit view the problem is further "enhanced", thanks to the tint.
I'm no dev but it feels like the window tint should be easy to fix. and the dim headlight should be a pretty easy fix as well. Perhaps the problem lay within the graphics engine and how it handles lighting. A explanation from the devs would be appreciated.

As DECK-S said. This is probably to increase FPS. But on the PC version you would expect a slider for that as well. But the problem may be more complicated then that. Games often only load "graphics"/data in a "cone" of what you're actually viewing on the screen. Perhaps the game engine can't handle both a front view and a mirror view. It that's the case it would be pretty hard to fix the issue. But then again, I'm no dev so I'm just guessing.

Both FOV and working mirrors are of course demanding. But fixing the window tint should not be that hard. Hope we can get a reply from the devs.
