It's been in the game since U1.6.1
It makes running the legendary missions solo feel like running against cheating NPCs.
If there is a priority list of bugs to be fix, bump this straight to the top.
Has anyone ran Final Measure solo Legendary?
Does it work well against the bug or does it still get overwhelmed often?
Any recommendations to make running legendary missions with the grenade bug more bearable?
Final measure doesn't work against the bug, You can see it in my video.Originally Posted by RushLoongHammer Go to original post
What do you mean feels like running against cheating npc, you ARE running against cheating npc, , I went to ahrmrests apartment or whatever you call him ?. tried legendary and never got through the gate, the grenades were staggering before exploding, tried striker, final , d3 tact and nomad.. this is super human firepower that take no damage..and they shoot through walls throw grenades around corners that always land at your feet, Tried clear sky incursion solo as well , cleared rikers from first part , entered the circle and the mortars started, pin point 100% hit every time always land at your feet..and grenade throwers are nowhere to be seen and they land at your feet...They do not want a solo player running the legendary of incursions .Originally Posted by RushLoongHammer Go to original post
I run FM in some sections of legendary missions and it does help but you can't avoid the bug or negate the effect it's more survable than say the meta builds. Try and stack EDR where you can. Run a10k skill build and once in cover move back and forth using turrets and seekers (switch to stickeys at times) just be ready to hit the button to regain cover when your thrown out. In general prepare to die a bit whilst NPCS numbers are down compared to group play I don't think massive intended single play through on legendary. Then of course you have the runners that can take half your health with one melee even with a 2.3 million shield. Some might think massive are having a laugh (I think their right lol)Originally Posted by RushLoongHammer Go to original post

Legendary missions are similar to Everest people climb it because its there. As a single player it's really all about planning and being able to swap loadouts between sections. Take Madision as an example. Always fight from afar as moving too far forward triggers NPCS moving forward too. 1st section tac build using seekers and stickey keep back and NPCS will not flank you. 2nd escalator I switch to D3 or DPS build as those 3 LMBS have melee like Hunters. 3rd FM build seekers and turrets. 4th Tac build and 5th roof. In single play do not go up the stairs(fine in group play but you can be flanked in single) carry on and climb up and use the yellow ladder. You are then high up with the spawning door to your right. I use FM or Tac with seekers and sticky. There's a great video on utube showing this method.
The legendary missions and incursions are meant to be played with a team, and players need to know what they are doing as well. It is true that NPCs have superpowers but they are only there because they aren't very smart, not very good or realistic AI. I did supply drop in LZ with LMB bombers, they dropped like 3-4 grenades on me every second. Had to find spot to hide and just wait until they stopped hitting the area where I was taking cover. It can become ridiculous in the way the NPCs behave and the amount of armor you have to destroy before they are down.
Also there is big difference between damage that can be done by players and NPCs. I was killed once by an exploding tank caused by NPC, but when I stand on top of it and shoot it myself there is hardly any damage. Many parts of the game are balanced in this way to make fights last longer and give NPCs an advantage over groups or solo players. At times you can clearly see they move a lot quicker then players can, have infinite amount of armor and ammunition, when taking point blank hits no damage is done, NPCs shooting from so far away you can't even see them, etc.
It is supposed to be fun playing games, but that is not always the case in The Division. My guess is that developers want you get killed every once in awhile no matter what gear or skills you have.
I don't think it's true that they're meant not to be played solo.Originally Posted by echolecter Go to original post
They aren't gated to teams and the players who learn the spawns can easily solo them with some practice, so I don't believe they're meant not to be solo'ed; choose how you want to play, team or solo.
It's not the mass amount of grenades which is the issue, it's the grenade pre-stagger bug where the red circle doesn't appear to after you get hit, staggered, and/or bled; having 3 grenadiers do this at once will probably kill you. Imagine the Shortbow talent but with the grenade teleporting to the target rather than traveling though the air.Originally Posted by echolecter Go to original post
I highly doubt this.Originally Posted by echolecter Go to original post
