Dear UbiSoft,
I absolutely love this game (80%), could be 110%... The "Stamina Issue" is my final "Deal Breaking" problem with the game (other than continued lag problems). I believe my analysis may help solve both these problems for you. I have been playing video games since the first Atari and Coleco Vision systems back in the early 80's. I have been playing fighting games since Street Fighter first dropped in the arcade in the 80's. I am an online ranked Tekken GOD. Soul Caliber is on of my favorite games of all time. I love Mortal Combat too and I've played ALL the rest of every single fighting game on every console and every arcade. Samurai Showdown, love. I am currently in my 40's, I am University educated, I currently own 2 companies, and I recently sold a video game company. I am also a black belt martial artist and I go to the gym 3-5 days a week. I say all this, not to talk about myself, but for transparency and understanding my point of view. I've read so many forums and articles regarding the stamina in this game, 99.9999% of them are based in ignorance and BS. I originally deleted this game due to the P2P hosting and the insanity of that system for a game like this. NOW, I'm back and I wish to bring this VERY REAL issue to attention, because I absolute LOVE this game would like to play it more and I would like to discuss how to SERIOUSLY improve it regarding this fatal flaw;

1: Realism/immersion:
It simply doesn't exist. Unless you are a 300lb diabetic that only eats doughnuts, doing 2-3 summersault/rolls ABSOLUTELY DOES NOT bring you to the point of immobile exhaustion. Running, in fact, takes more stamina than a summersault/roll. Professional martial artists and fighters train for 8-10 hours a day every day. Let alone the HEROES we are supposed to be! Swinging a sword or a heavy weapon a few times would not effect a "HERO"! This is my biggest issue with this game. NO other fighting game has this mechanic and its ruining the game. Nearly every time I run out of stamina I literally feel suffocated, like I have asthma. NOTHING about this system says "HERO". This is a HUGE turn off and MAJOR deterrent for me playing this game. I don't play video games to feel weaker than I am in real life, quite the opposite. This game literally makes me feel weaker than I am in real life, NOT like a HERO! This stamina mechanic was literally implemented by a man with a cane that has trouble walking. Perhaps in his opinion basic movement has a cost, but why should the rest of us have to suffer???

2. The Problem:
Most all games use mechanics that give you supernatural powers and make you larger than life and more powerful. This one uses a mechanic that makes you weak and less than real life. I can see that the developers were attempting to address this new "Realism Trend" and make the game more appealing for the "Masses", clearly this FAILED... In my opinion, this "trend" has been ruining many games lately. Only PUBG has pulled this off with SOME degree of "Success", and we all know how thats going...
2a: Balance/Game Mechanics:
People say, "This new stamina system adds depth and allows openings for punishment if not properly managed". This is BS nube talk. Only someone who has never played a fighting game before would say this. Essentially this game has tried to reinvent the wheel and came up with an octagon. Why? Because other games use mechanics like "Blocking" and "Countering" and “Parrying” and "Stunning/Dazing”, which provide depth and punishment when not properly executed. Which have been essentially replaced in this game with "Stamina". Additionally Stamina gives you limited attacks and then a refresh period, addressed only by "Gear". Only basic gamers spam attacks, advanced gamers know how to use strategy and create openings and opportunities with blocks and reposts and guard brakes and stuns etc etc. This "Stamina system" is essentially like adding a 4th traffic light that says "When 4 cars in front of you have passed the light, stop or we will turn off your car.". Systems that give us additional powers are MUCH more fun than systems that inflict contrived weakness...
2b: Resources:
Additionally, the fact that the game has to constantly track stamina as a cause and effect and the reactions there of, requires additional system resources and network bandwidth. Unnecessarily allocated resources that should be omitted instead for cleaner and more responsive multiplayer game play. The fewer resources in play, the smoother the game will run over a multiplayer network.

3: The Solution:
Replace the stamina system with a “Stun/Daze” system. Stun effects. Stun duration. Stun resistance. Basic movement and dodging and rolling should not have a cost. Simple.

4: Additional Recommendation:
I'd really love to see some super powers when we get into "Revenge Mode". To hell with NURFING!!! NURFING IS WEAKSAUCE!!! Give us MORE POWERS! More powers are more fun! Having some additional "Super Moves" would be great when you are getting double, triple, or even quad team attacked when your alone. Other than this it is IMPOSSIBLE to beat 3 people that know how to exploit you and attack simultaneously from multiple directions (or even 2 for that matter) EVEN WITH REVENGE!!! We should have a tier of additional super power moves to use in "Revenge/Rage mode" to level the playing field when getting gang raped. Adding gear with "Special Properties" to allow you to modify your characters fighting moves or super/rage moves would be amazing too...

In conclusion; After reviewing this game and the climate and mechanics of fighting games this stamina system should be removed and the Revenge Mode should be enhanced.
I am certain that players would respond positively and the player base would grow and solidify around the changes I have suggested. Thank you for your time and attention.
