Error: Maine-118, bookworm b90a7af6 and problem with coop

    Hello

I bought recently Far Cry 5 on Steam to play it with a friend. The purchase went all fine and I started
to play it and liberated the first island (tutorial). After that I’ve tried to host a multiplayer session and
always get this following error message:

    Error: Maine-118 and bookworm b90a7af6

I’ve noticed also that in Uplay Club I received the achievement for completing the tutorial but it
somehow doesn’t seem to count. I have tried following actions to try to solve this problem:

    1. Disabled windows firewall (did not help at all)
    2. Turned off my standard window antivirus (did not help at all)
    3. Checked the integrity of the files on Steam (everything is fine)
    4. Reinstalled the game (did not help at all)
    5. Reinstalled Uplay client (did not help at all)
    6. Started Uplay on behalf of the administrator (did not help at all)
    7. Installed the latest drivers for Nvidia and GeForce Experience (did not help at all)
    8. Opened following ports for windows 10 home (TCP: 443, UPD: 9000, 9103, 12000, 11110,
11115 (did not help at all)
    9. Opened following ports for my router (TCP: 443, UPD: 9000, 9103, 12000, 11110, 11115
    (did not help at all)
    10. Checked the status of UPnP on the router - “Enable” (did not help at all)
    11. Bough a static IP at my provider (did not help at all but needed one anyway)

I’ve tried many other things as well but those are the main points. Everything I have tried so far
didn’t solve this issue and I still can’t play with my friend. I’ve looked through all the possible forums
I’ve noticed that this problem only comes with Far Cry 5. In the other hand if I’m playing Far Cry 4
there isn’t such problems at all. Tom Clancy’s The Division works without any problems as well. On
the Ubisoft website I can see my games that I’ve have been recently playing except for Far Cry 5.

The conclusion about my issue is following:

    1. I did purchase Far Cry 5 on Steam
    2. I could successfully install the game
    3. I could successfully play the game
    4. Far Cry 5 appears on Uplay like it should
    5. Far Cry 5 does not appear as purchased game on my Ubisoft profile
    6. I cannot start any multiplayer sessions due of an error even after finishing the tutorial
    7. I’ve send a ticket with print screens to Ubisoft Support 6 days ago and yet no response at
    all

I’m desperately trying to find some help on this forum and therefor wanted to ask if you guys also
had this kind of problem with Far Cry 5 and most important how did you manage to solve this?

Hey there Vrednulka! It looks like you're currently working with an agent on your case. I do have a question for you, however. Do you possibly have another Ubisoft account?

ProxyCap or other network related 3rd party software

    ---

In case someone is still having these two errors, I'm suggesting checking your installed software on your Windows and check if there are any Network related applications installed there..

In my case, I tried tons of different things for days to fix these errors.. In the end, it turned out it was "ProxyCap" application all along.. The application also causes Ghost Recon Wildlands crash... I uninstalled ProxyCap and the errors are fixed..

    EDIT :
Note that disabling the application doesn't fix the problem.. Even when it was completely inactive, the game still loads its DLL files from system32 folder.. So you have to uninstall the application..
