    Orochi is A Joke

What are you developers coming up with in Montreal. Are you really seeing the ideas you are coming up with? Everything I go up against an Orochi, I am met with nothing, but a flurry of light spams. There is no skill necessary for that character. You guys need to tighten up and listen to feedback. Bunch of idiots y’all are.

For one, insulting the people who are working on trying to improve the game is not the best way to have your opinions heard.

    Ahem.

Orochi is meant to be a fast character, so using lights is pretty common. Many of his chains rely on it, and they're one of his core strengths. However, blocking one cancels his chain so all he can really do is try to feint you out and play mindgames. From how it sounds, you try to parry too many lights (or just aren't fast enough) and get punished for it.

Try learning to block those lights first, then start learning to predict them and parrying them comes last. Parrying an assassin is probably the easiest way to win, but being baited too often is a good way to get stomped.

I mean, you're not entirely wrong. And the issue with Orochi is pretty big...I mean, hardly any offensive capabilities but at the same time simplistic enough to destroy anyone just by picking up the character .The 400ms lights are crazy tough to block as the average reaction time of a person is around the mid 200s giving us about 150ms less or more to position our guard in the right place at the right time to block or parry, which leaves parries tough to even use and that's why at least you should get to be at the point where you can block the Orochi's lights and still be able to retaliate in some way in order to counteract for the generic Orochi main's use of his move set. At least that's what I have gathered from other people as well as my experience...which admittedly I've only been in multiplayer for around 30 hours but it's better than nothing.

You pretty much nailed the way to deal with it, if at all possible to actually get your guard up in time

No skill needed to win easily with him... and that's unfair.

he is and has always been a newb killer who gets shut down by anyone who is half decent at the game tbh. his first light in a chain is 500ms which is quite easy to block and really not that hard to parry. his 2nd light is 400 ms but deals low dmg. with a static guard hero it is block-able on reaction. for his 3rd light, only top is 400ms. learn to block the first light and there is basically nothing he can do. or just have no understanding of the game and go to forums to blame devs.

Dude, I’ve been playing this game since Closed Alpha/Beta, and still going. I think I understand this game than your average joe. Yes, the devs are to blame because they implemented this to give him “more of a chance”. At what exactly? At spamming. You’re telling me that you can block every Orochi light that comes to even after the First was a top and now you have to guess which direction he’s coming at you? Yeah okay, don’t believe your reasoning. Yes, it’s possible blocking, but your reaction has to be VERY precise and if you decide to do any attack, he just needs to throw a light to interrupt you. I have videos of low levels and nit even repoed Orochi’s doing this. Take a seat and stop trying to arouse Ubisoft’s ****.

As LB main I find it hard to deal with them, though I got better over time, really the only way is to bait parry though. Most of them are so bad that they don't feint or anything, just pure spam.

I try not to fight an orochi directly when I'm shug. I just farm of them. When I get hit with that oos scream and it me Vs an orochi I am more than likely going to loose by getting spammed to death when I can't see where it's coming from. Think about how powerful shug would be if he had that scream... Now put it on a top tier character like orochi and that is the state of for honor right now.

    zerk have 400ms atacks
    pk have 400ms atacks
    shaman have 400ms atacks
glad have 600ms unblockable and unparriable atacks

Im not saying orochi is weak... not anymore, but he and shinobi are the weakest among the assassins IMO
just pratice against the bot, he dont have unblokeables, it's just a matter of get used to light spam
seriously, Im not a "git gud toxic dumb", but if you keep praticing will realize he is not that strong

However, no matter u pratice, u will never find easy to deal with the 50/50 moves of other characters... this is the real tread
