I cycled the Inca Camina Missions (La Cabra-Southern Cache-Eastern Cache), The Advisor and the nearby Gold Cache in the Mine in Espiritu Santu, The Convoy and Boston Reed in Koani. When in Koani I took my Unidad Attack Chopter to patrol the Main Road, blewing up Unidad Vehicles (300-600Xp when undetected). You can also patrol the Roads in Malca between Malca Chapel and the Unidad Outpost east of it, there's a nice Amount of Vehicles. Admittedly I was lucky getting that Chopper from my Y2 Crates.
To not get totally bored I stopped at some big Outposts (Malca Chapel again) and sniped the whole Place. At least a little bit Diversity in that colossal Grind.
I upgraded the Weapons I feel most comfortable with, no Experiments. The Grind is hilarious enough without even more Supply Convoys to capture. In my Case this where the M4 and the Mk14 at first. Later I upgraded some others.
There is the obvious Desert Tech HTi Sniper Rifle which unlocks at Tier 40 and then the LVOA-C Bad News that unlocks at T5. Personally, I used the M4 (leveled up) as my primary until the LVOA-C became available but Tier One screwed with the balance / stats of some of my other favorite weapons like the M14 which is yet another reason I grew to hate that mode and never revisited it once I reached T1.Originally Posted by Edgemoor Go to original post
My favorite weapon turned out to be the Viper gunship which helped me rip through the last tiers by racking up Unidad vehicle kills, raids on bases, etc. with missles. .....because at that point, Tier One had long become just a grind to me.
I was lucky because that was way back before they decided to nerf the aircraft and some of the vehicles. At that point however, it was just an effort to make it to Tier 1 so I could turn it off and move on.
As far as what missions, if you mean which ones to grind down your Tier status to level 1, besides Inca Camina, I did Remanzo, Espiritu Santo, and Koani, and I only did the missions with higher tier points.
As far as what weapons, if you're at Tier level 4, definitely the Bad News assault rifle, and I also stuck with the Desert Tech HTI BDC. For pistol I used the M1911 Golden. All weapons with suppressor on of course.
watch your XP counter, that doesnt pay out even 1/4 the XP it used to! you have to mark all 4 guys in the truck in order to get XP for each kill (the first 2wks of t1 we banked ~800xp off each blown truck, after that initial patch it averaged 150)Originally Posted by Edgemoor Go to original post
Tried a few Unidad patrols, got a fair bit of XP. I did, however, notice that if you haven't marked any occupants you didn't tend to get anything at all.Originally Posted by KingSpawn1979 Go to original post
Anyway, thanks for the tips really came in useful. Finally made it to Tier 1![]()
