This is ridiculous. It's happened to me too!
I do a workout every day and I know that I've not been keeping track of calories burned recently. However, yesterday I made a special note that my score was 32912 as I thought to myself, "I'm sure I was that score a few days ago." Anyway, I did a couple of sessions and got my score to 33123. This evening I loaded Your Shape and guess what... ? I'm back at 32912.
Could we have a reply from the forum managers to tell us that this particular thread is being monitored, the Ubisoft team have been made fully aware of these serious issues, and then provide us with a proper response.
Don't misunderstand me. I enjoy the workouts and that is the main reason I use Your Shape. I've even learned to live with the poor tracking, but I have worked really hard to get to that score and I will be extremely disappointed if this is not being addressed and/or there is no known fix.
I hit a wall along time ago and it just went away at the beginning of the following week. But I just hit another the other day. Kind of annoyed, though I do find it funny I've been stuck at 48,663 calories, and my next goal is 1337 away. I literally thought it was some early april fools joke when I saw that.
But I'd rather not be forced to do Leg Curls at the beginning of my sculpting routines every day (though I'm fine with the ones past that).
I'm not holding my breath on getting a response from ubisoft...but this is starting to get ridiculous.
I've been stuck on the same score for over a week with any workouts not being updated.
ALSO, ubisoft still haven't sorted out my other major gripe with the leaderboards; I come up as male on them (despite being very female on my profile). What's the point? I can't compare myself to other women, god knows how many other women are in the leaderboard?!
Please can someone from ubi get back to me? I got a lame response about the leaderboads (have a look at the resolved issues and if they fix it it'll be on there) but this latest issue is a much bigger problem. I may just give up...
Greetings, suziechan. I noticed you on the UK leaderboard.
I think you're right, foosifur. The other day when I realised that my score had stuck I went to the YourShape website and undertook the very tedious task of manually adding the calorie scores on each day since I started playing the game. Although my console score had stuck at 32912 I noticed that the website total was about 32500. Since then the website has kept track of my daily progress, but the console still says 32912 each day I start the game.Originally posted by foosifur:
The long and short of this is that I wonder if the website synchronization is having an impact on the people that are permanently stuck at a calorie score...
I also noticed that my total on the leaderboard is 32912 + (daily_maximum). For example, when I did 211 the leaderboard went to 33123, the next day I did 176 and it didn't advance. The following day I did 360 and it went to 32912+360 = 33272 (not 33123+360). If I did less than 360 then the website total stayed at 33272. Today I did a long workout and did 591. My leaderboard total is now 32912+591 = 33503. I imagine this won't change unless I do more than 591. Also my website total is now 33714.
As foosifur mentioned I suspect the problem has occurred because at some point the website did not synchronise properly with one or more of my daily totals. So because the two totals did not match the console has refused to move.
Either Ubisoft patch this problem or as a courtesy and out of respect for the increasing number of people afflicted with this problem they should remove the leaderboards until they can fix it. My heart goes out to Cabman who was number 1 in the world around 19 Feb with an amazing total of 63517. Since that day he hasn't advanced. We're told that everything in these forums is monitored and reported on. Well, I suppose this also gives us some measure of how serious Ubisoft are taking this matter, how (in)competent they are at fixing problems, and how much they really value their customers.
I have the same issue. I got to 27971 calories and now it won't save anything however it still saves when I do personal training sessions just the calories go to zero and don't register on the game once I sign out and back in. My fiance uses the game as well and he has burned a few calories less then me and he has no issues with it saving his calories
I've received the standard response from Ubisoft - they know about the problem (known since January...) and IF they have a fix they will put it on the website.
I didn't get a response to my request why it was taking so long for something so fundamental to the game and whether there would be any recompense for the people affected.
I suggest anyone really hacked off with Ubisoft contact Microsoft :
http://support.xbox.com/en-us/pages/email-us.aspx
I've already had a speedy response from them. I doubt they will be very happy to hear one of their manufacturers is losing them customers.
I seriously am about to give up though - wiifit here I come!
I totally agree. This is a fundamental problem and I cannot figure out why this has not been resolved by now. The worst part is that those most affected are the very customers who have given more to the game and to whom they should be most committed to helping.
Ubisoft have had plenty of time to respond to this issue so I think you are right in letting Microsoft know that Ubisoft have really let down their flagship Kinect product. Which email link did you use: Hardware or Xbox Live?
To put an end to this ridiculous story, here's the reply I've recently got. I'm done with YourShape and their customer support. You draw your conclusion too.
"Hello
We have check all contact (EMEA) received from Support site and forums regarding this issue and found less than 100 cases in millions of copies sold world wide.
This fact is a clear sign that we are not dealing with a bug in game but most of the time is due to xbox live connection's droped or a corrupted gamertag which could be retreive from Xbox live, a corrupted save.....
We have any way, contacted our developers and made them aware of the situation, any news on this matter will be posted using all resources, Website, Facebook, Forums..
If you have any further queries or issues please do not hesitate to contact us again and we will assist you further.
Kind Regards,
Ubisoft Technical Support."
