Granted only a few hundred people out of millions have complained, but how many people have reached the high calorie counts where this bug seems to occur? Very few!
Also, only a few hundred may have complaiend but how many more simply didn't bother or didn't know where to complain? The actual number of people who experience an issue is always a multiple of the number of people who report it.
I think Ubisoft has written off this issue way too easily. It sounds like they simple counted up the emails and then flippantly created an explanation (corrupted profiles) and closed the case. It doesn't sound like they contacted even a single user to verify that assumption!
Choosing expediency over quality isn't a good way to impress and keep your customers.
Maybe they made a business decision that losing a few hundred people out of a few million is okay and not worth the effort it would take to fix the problem. It's possible. Isn't that what Toyota decided before they realized that their brake problems were a little more serious than they expected?
You guys are right.
There are at least four people, including myself, who are in the top 20 in the world who have reported this issue in this thread (maybe more now?). If that is typical then a minimum of 20% of their customers are experiencing this serious bug.
The reality is that many of those millions have either not played the game long enough to experience the bug. Or they have had the problem but they simply haven't invested enough time in the game to be that bothered.
Gypsy, or any other forum managers who read this thread, could you please pass on our utter disgust at Ubisoft's blatant disregard for our case. If they claim that they are working tirelessly to resolve the matter then please ask one of them to provide us with an official statement. If it is true - as it appears to be - that the developers simply don't care then at least we'll know where we stand. We shall take no further and proper response from you, or Ubisoft, as an indication of the latter.
I got on the forum hoping someone else had the answer to what happened to me yesterday. I was at 22k calorie count, fired up Your shape and was going to do my daily Gatorade, held up the bottle, screen went white and bam Xbox froze. Turned it off then on again and I am gone. All my achievements are there but my calorie count is zero and I had to start all over again. I was so mad having to take the health test again. Anyway I was hoping it was just a glitch but sounds like its more. Daily count on UFIT is updating, but total stopped. I guess I'm going back to the wii! Has anyone tried Biggest Loser? It was a pleasure competing against you all!
Currently ranked #15 worldwide, #1 for New Zealand.
Issue happened for me last week. April 4th is the last day that the Xbox remembers, and doesn't save any activity since then. So, add yet another to the many that it's happening to.
It's an annoyance, but like others said, it's not the reason I'm playing the game. Overall fat burning and fitness/wellness is what I like about the game and it's inspiring my wife to get onboard with it as well.
Fyi, I can normally get between 115-120 calories burned on Cardio Boxing Silver full, same for the Gold full, although I can sometimes get that up to 130, and usually between 130-140 for Platinum.
On the Personal Training side, G Fit gets me around 200 calories, Michelle Bridges Get Fit gets me around 120, the Toned DLC was hitting me around 240.
I'm 43, 5'8, 190 pounds (or 86.5 kg)
That is not the point. We've all seen your standard reply to these posts, but what we never see is a response from Ubisoft.Originally posted by Gypsy816:

It comes down to one of three things: (1) they reply to you, but you don't pass on the information, (2) they receive your emails and hit delete because they don't care, (3) they are genuinely working on it but lack the courage or courtesy to keep us informed.
I very much doubt it is (1) as you seem sincere in your attempts to pass on our concerns and I suspect you would be genuinely relieved to be able to give us some real news. So it is (2) or (3). How can we have any confidence in a company like that?
By the way, now Bhorza has confirmed another top twenty person affected we are up to at least 25% of customers using the game.
I reiterate my previous points, and those just made by Bhorza, I don't play the game to receive external recognition. I love the routines and the positive effects of the game. However, the levels of frustration from seeing the same calorie score every time I start up are beginning to overwhelm the enjoyment I should be receiving from the game. Consequently I am becoming increasingly demotivated. Something needs to be done and that "proper" response from Ubisoft support which Arpy300 posted does nothing to inspire any hope that they are taking things seriously.
I have the gut feeling that they probably have no fix... or the fix is not patchable through online update. At this point I would accept and gladly move on if they come out and say it.
I guess I am considered "lucky" I only have 6900 calories registered before it froze on me. The stats are still updated on your shape center (I can see my past 5 days activities) but the total calories count has stopped updating. Poor QA testing in my opinion.
I just wanted to throw this out there again. For people who have locked up, has anyone tried unlinking their ubisoft account, playing to register some calories and then maybe later re-linking the account or creating a new ubisoft account? I'm convinced that it's the website that's the problem, not the game, and I know for sure that the website calories are what sync to your game rather than the other way around (which is why ubi is probably wrong in blaming bad game saves but obviously I can't prove that).
I know we all have some frustrations with the game, and I am doing my best to be in contact with Laurel who moderates the Your Shape Facebook page. I don't know if you've seen my latest reply here:

...but I have a posting on there (dated April 12th) directly from Laurel which not only relates to the "Events", but seems to also address more of the general problems...in that the developers are aware and feel aweful about things. I'd recommend reading the post...as it might provide some help...maybe?
