Division 1 coming to end in March 2019, time to only drop classified gear in tier 5!

    Ubisoft/Massive,

The time has come for you to change the drop rate of classified gear for level 30 tier 5 agents.

If a player like me has sunk almost 3000 hours in this game I don’t want purple or gold gear (other than guns of course) to drop if i’m Playing in tier 5 or doing legendary missions, it’s an insult to issue rewards that you know we will automatically deconstruct or delete. You will know that all players that reach level 30, tier 5 are using classified gear, so why even bother with the previous gear, all it does is leave you feeling your wasting your time playing and I have to say , my playing time (and my online friends) in this game is severely dropping due to this issue.

With this game coming to an end in March 2019 what do you have to lose? Basically all gear that drops from this point forward in any tier 5 gameplay should be a classified, period.

If you have a good reason for not doing this, please explain, I am not after all a game developer, just a loyal player of your game.

    Thank you for your time,

    BarryDock1908 PS4

If you're so hardcore and don't have all the classified sets already it's your own fault. There are a ton of ways to farm them. Once you get them... you have them, re-cal, optimize... you're done. I had a little over 2k hours on Xbox and had all classy sets, with all the good ones maxed. I have about 100 hours on PC now and I already have like 4 sets. As for a good reason not to change the drops; they're trying to limp Division 1 along for eight more months... without any new content. They are pretty much banking on the idea that anyone still playing is a new player. Horrible way to treat loyal day one fans, but it makes business sense if they can get around the bad PR. The amount of day one fans still playing has got too be almost nonexistent.

The grinding was so hard for me since 1.7 and the first global event but I got everything .
Why should you and your friends get them easy?
Play the game and stop complaining

Why not? Seeing how both of you was so helpful giving advice how to get RNG to give you everything you need. We all know in TD the lasts thing we want is players to have competitive gear, whether in PvP or PvE. That could eliminate what we complain about.

@OP, in his sarcastic tone, blkandwht did actually speak wisdom. They need to try to keep players interested in TD till release of the sequel, which means that have to keep us farming and playing the exact same stuff for the better part of a year. I am sure shields won't lasts so we will need players like yourself to keep us entertained whether to attack you in the DZ relentlessly while you farm, taunt you in PvE showing you want our optimized gear looks like, or possibly actually helping you find the gear you want and need.

There is a point being made. The Pseudo-RNG garbage is a waste of most people's time after level 30. You need to get lucky in order to get the classified set you want.

I don't think that "we got ours, nana na nana nah" is very constructive.

Pseudo-RNG should be replaced with a 'parts' system and then you can just swap them for whatever you want.

We have the blueprints and when you can find them it works well. Just have guns work in a similar way.

Instead of getting a random load of crap, you'd get gun parts or armor parts to use as you want. Everyone could pick the exact guns or gear they like and build them at a safe-house. Obviously, the current blueprint system would need to go as ingredients are too common.

Using this system all grinding would help improve your gear until you had everything you needed. Specialized weapons (Div2) would have their own separate parts, so you'd need to grind to improve them too.

After you've got everything you want the game would still have the same problems it has now, but I can't fix everything

I think the majority of all players with 1000+ hours already have all Classified sets completed and maxed out. So there is basically no need to change the drop rates of Classified gear for them, as they will deconstruct it right away anyway. As for new or returning players - they would probably like higher drop rates, but that would totally ruin the grind. Why would there be a reason to play resistance or legendary missions, if you were able to complete all Classified sets with a few runs through Lexington? Nah, a game that is all about grinding NEEDS rare loot.

Cause currently to be competitive you need striker. So players that try go to DZ to have fun, get owned. Some players just don't enjoy that for long. It has been the same problem for a long time. Just a little note, there are players that with just a few runs in Lex get everything. While others have went months and still don't have what they need. GEs help, but they aren't perfect.

If you want to compete with the top tier agents in PvP, yes, you need Striker. The classified one. But as a new or returning player you simply cannot expect to have the best gear in the game after "only" about 100 or 300 hours. If there were three or four or 12 classified sets with which you could compete in PvP, I'd still say, that you should not have them all completed after such a - in comparison - short time within the game.

Basically the endgame of TD1 is a pure loot grinder - and as a matter of logic, you will have better and more loot after having played 2000 hours than after 200 hours. This logic has to be sustained - as sad as it may seem for some players that would like to have all the best loot at the very beginning of the endgame: you actually have to PLAY the game to earn rewards.

For the sake of longevity of the game, you are correct. The fact that players had full sets within a days time and owning the DZ, LS, or Skirmish is also an issue. You really can't say don't give loot out too quick and then do that for a small number of players so that they can be king for a day or month. I still know players that have never seen a House or a full Striker set. He prefers solo play and just happened to play in a group I was in. He's had 20+ pieces of every other piece, he stated once he enough that he could almost create a different set for each character. He destroyed the extra pieces and awaits the final piece so he can complete one.

I'm still trying to come to terms with RNG.
My most favorite GS pre classified was Nomad.
So when the first GE came available for this set , i RNG the crap out of it ( 132 Caches in the 1st GE ) to get 1 6pc set.
    NOW Post patch 1.8.2
I can only enjoy it running Solo
All that work only to be tethered
( I can see how this set was OP in a 4 man PVP scenario , but because of that , PVE teams got Screwed. )
    Sorry Newbie players
Should have bought the game earlier
Endure Drop rates like the rest of us
