RighteousLlama: Hi there, RighteousLlama. I'm sorry to see that you don't feel comfortable with maintaining your Ubisoft Account here with 2 Step Verification, but if I am able to provide you with any explanation or comfort, I'd like to take the time to do so. I looked into your Ubisoft Account and did see there was an attempt to access your account, however they were unsuccessful. From what you are able to see, they attempted to gain entry through the Ubisoft Support Portal, however since they were unable to verify 2 Step Verification, they were unable to. I say this to explain that none of your account information was accessed nor viewed. If you wish to continue with your account deletion, please know that we're here to help whenever you wish to return.![]()
tomvampire: Hi, tomvampire! Thanks for posting on this thread! I took a look at your account as well and noted the same sort of activity as RighteousLlama. Someone attempted to access your account, however due to your current 2 Step Varication, they were unable to actually be successful. With that said, none of your account information was accessed. If you wish to receive assistance with either changing your email address or password reset, please feel free to send me a private message!
Hi
Got a mail from you guys that said someone from Indonesia got into my account, but dismissed it as spam/phising since I've got 2 step verification for login. Decided to check it out because the mail seemed valid(not clicking any link in the mail) and had to log in as usual with 2 step verifictaion and check it out for real.
I found out in the security that there have been an attempted login from India and a succesful login from Indonesia today, so my question is how is that possible with 2 step verification already in place? I've got no messages that have asked for a code, no nothing so it's really annoying to actually use 2 step verfification and cange password every now and then because some ****kid from the other side of the world can get into my account with no security what so ever.
And yes I've changed the password and checked the settings after all this, but I thought enabling 2 step verification would stop this or at least give notice IF someone would try to get into your account, not just logging in without asking questions.
Best regard from me
Hey there.Originally Posted by Shouzu Go to original post
Currently 2 step verification is only requested on specific websites or applications, for example Uplay or the Ubisoft account website. Anywhere where your account information can be accessed or changed would require someone to have passed through 2 step verification otherwise they would not be able to login. So if this person had tried to do so it would have been impossible without your 2 step verification code as well.
This login you've mentioned I have verified was to one of our marketing websites so no prompt for 2 step verification was displayed on this occasion. Under the circumstances I would recommend changing your password which you have already done but as an additional security measure I would also consider changing the registered email address on the account if possible. You can do this through the Ubisoft Account website here.
If you have any further questions regarding this please let me know.
Same here happend to me today

on the website it says that he was logged in . WTF ?!?
2 step , Mobilephone and still this happens ?!?
and changing the emailadress its not an option
i already change the password , but how often i have to do this ?
and why is the ip adress not complete ? why ***.*** ?
i wanted to buy the new watch dogs , but after i saw this i deleted first my paypal acccount here on the website and i dont buy anything from ubisoft anymore . this is crazy ... ubisoft want 110 € for a game , but cant really secure your account . thats the reason why i dont buy anything anymore until Ubisoft starting to secure the accounts . I dont want to have the whole Hackers world getting into my account .
this is also why i dont buy anything from Origin anymore , because they are also not really secure anymore. Only Steam & Epic are secure .
Hello OkamiMZ. I'm very sorry for any worry or frustration caused by this login notification. As Ubi-Orion mentioned earlier, only account specific pages leverage 2-step verification at the moment. I checked your account and can confirm that the login occurred on a non-account page. With this being said, I am glad to hear you've changed the password on your account, as this will help keep your account secure in the future.
Evening was checking my emails and i received information from ubisoft regarding a successful login attempt from some ***** in Indonesia. Im from the UK and this clearly wasn't me. I changed my password immediately, however why on earth was the attempt successful when i have 2 step verification turned on???!!!!!!!!! Whats the point in having it if some ***** can get into my account anyway. Is Ubisofts security that flawed that even with 2 step verification someone can access my account regardless or does login successful mean that he got passed the first stage but not the second.
Hello mrocallaghan214,

the response we get here from the support staff is hilarious they answer with the same answer over and over , your account is safe because you have 2-Step verification enable ...YOU ARE NOT ANSWERING OUR QUESTION ....HOW IS IT POSSIBLE THAT SOME IDIOT FROM RUSSIA CAN ACCESS MY ACCOUNT EVEN THO I HAVE 2-Step verification ENABLE??? HOW IS IT POSSIBLE?????? and thit is not my first time i think ill stop bying games from Uplay and keep buying my games from Steam i never had any problems with the security of my steam account..
They - Ubisoft - will never tell you how it was possible for hackers in other country log into your account easily. Because if they do provide such details that would open them to multiple lawsuits from all their customers.Originally Posted by DoMiMvp Go to original post
First rule is never admit liability.
What probably happened is that this site was hacked or another part of Ubisoft where your info is stored was hacked - that is the only explanation that explains how it happen to so many customers.
Its crazy the way Ubisoft treat their customers imho. Even this customer service forum - so many spam and bot posts...why Ubisoft dont have the forum software to prevent even this is hilarious.
Me myself im still waiting to hear Ubisoft explain how they lost games from my account...
