Assassin's Creed IV Freedom Cry Audio Bug during Combat

Couldn't find a thread so I thought I'd make one bringing attention to this.

Apparently after a language update to the game, several people, including myself are experiencing an Audio Bug in Freedom Cry were Adewale's Machete and Blunderbuss make no sounds in combat:

    https://www.reddit.com/r/assassinscr...reedom_cry_pc/

I might make a video of it later if I can, I have bad upload speeds.

Tried to play a little Freedom Cry again since I lost my save file only to find most of my weapons are soundless in combat.

I play on PC, not sure what systems others experiencing it are playing on.

I've already did a short video "Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag (PC): Silent Cry": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BJL5VvWDges (that was May 28)

Check the link to the forum thread in the description and read the comments under the video from people with the same issue.
I managed to fix the issue by manually replacing the missing DLC folders, but some people say that this didn't work for them.
One person in the comments stated that they contacted Ubisoft support and they gave them the standalone version of Freedom Cry which apparently doesn't have this issue.

I had this same issue of Adewale's machete not making any sounds. It took Ubisoft support 11 days and over 18 exchanges to resolve my issue, which was resolved, finally, by way of a work around, which was just to give me standalone Freedom Cry which does not have the missing sound files. Despite sending them links to various threads about this known issue on the internet and including my own video evidence, they were completely uninterested, and proceeded to make me go through verifiable task after task, which included asking me to uninstall and reinstall my entire C++ library. Even after telling me they would be willing to give me standalone Freedom Cry as a solution, they proceeded to ask me to perform four more tasks which had nothing to do with the problem, and which included asking me to perform redundant tasks that had already been asked of me previously in the ticket history.

Unfortunately, it was not made apparent that they are concerned with a root cause solution, such as fixing the sound files that are missing from the Black Flag DLC version of Freedom Cry--and that is probably more unfortunate than how they handled my ticket. Other people will have to suffer through this.

My video of the issue can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fN2cjHUuDqU

I finally found the solution. The bug seems to be a corrupted file from the Ubisoft servers which they didn't care to fix. The standalone version doesn't have this bug, so you just have to replace the original file with the one from the standalone version.

I have both versions, so I uploaded the file if you need it: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1oT...d6mdfbLifHhNFp

Just open your AC4 folder by clicking the game (right click the game if you're on Steam), select Properties, Local Files, Open Folder/Browse Local Files, and paste the file inside the dlc_10 folder. When asked if you wanna replace, click yes. Then start the game and voila! It's working.

    Tell me if it works.

This Bug is still not fixed. Redownloading the files does not help.

@Ubisoft please give us a link to the sound files of the stand alone version. Apparently it's that simple.
You got to take care of your own games. It's your reputation that's on the line if you let them die.

Edit: The corrupted file is called "DataPC_10_dlc.forge". The good one is 690.112 kb, the bad one 694.656 kb.
@Ubisoft: Please look through your own, old files and supply a fix. It really can't be that difficult.
You simply have to upload a file you already have!
People have been waiting for a fix since 2017 as far as I can see.

Hey dude! I'm glad that found a solution, but my best friend Google said this link isn't working. Could you resend the files for us, who plays FC as a DLC. I would appreciate it, Thank You! Cheers!

Hey Soknowod98_HUN. Generally verifying your files should resolve this issue. Here is how to do so for Steam and Uplay.
